Today's guest speaker is Rev. Mary Giles, pastor of Reeveytown, A.M.E. Zion Church in NJ. She has been through the fire and has helped many women who have experienced emotional hardships and suffered spiritual drought. She's going to help you start the New Year with the courage to believe that Jesus is still the One who loves you; He's still the One walking with you, even in the valley of the shadow of darkness.

Did you know that you could be bound by unforgiveness? I heard it said that unforgiveness (or holding grudges) causes you to make a cup of poison with your harsh thoughts of the other person, but you're the one drinking it. Unforgiveness interferes with you having prayers answered because you are out of the will of God. 

Today, I have a guest speaker, Peggy Grimes, the President of "Kingdom Women Rising" Ministries. She has studied and written about the need to have our souls healed. One of the most damaging things we do to ourselves is refuse to forgive those who hurt us. 

Our prayer is for this message to encourage you to take your complaint, pain, anger, and bitterness to God in prayer. He is willing to forgive you and give you the grace you need to forgive others.

Does God look beyond your faults or upon your faults? I'm going to share what I believe Holy Spirit. revealed to me. I'm glad we have a Father Who isn't surprised when we falter in our walk with Him. He already saw that we would have faults and He made provisions to take away our guilt and restore our fellowship. He doesn't condemn us but lovingly convicts and draws us back. I don't know why He loves us so much, but I'm glad that He does.
