Trauma is not a state of illness, or insanity. It is a body that is running scared on imbalance. Trauma is an ongoing process, from minimal degrees to maximum, all of humanity experiences some form of trauma in this modern, technological age. Even as the old order is crumbling, patriarchal values are furtively latching on to the blueprint of power which corrupts, recently fueling a world in criminality and chaos. This is the greater backdrop of trauma in our lives. It is a global issue which invariably instigates our personal lives and behavioral patterns. Only a few decades ago, medical science viewed trauma as a mental disease. it appears we have come a long way. Now, we see it as an emotional imbalance. However, there remains a core of truth to the insanity assessment since mired global reality renders the whole of humanity as a stockpile of insanity. I have had the privilege to know and consult with many medical professionals, but in the case of my personal experience as a traumatized targeted person, all I could get was, “why you?why would anyone wish to do this to you?”
In the ancient medicine system of Ayurveda, we describe trauma as unprocessed emotions tethered to pain, hurt, or abuse that settled into cellular memory of the body’s nervous system. This condition dislodges our metabolic balance. Moreover, this ancient wisdom tells us our mind is a conduit that connects, body and soul. Subtle channels of the mind exist throughout the body, tye basis from which the interconnection of body mind spirit and its healing can be explored.
