God’s creation declares his wisdom and glory—even in the mundane. Consider earthworms. The average acre of soil has over three million earthworms in it. These worms swallow huge amounts of soil and digest nutrients from it. This process helps to oxygenate and loosen up the soil, as well as transport minerals and nutrients for plants.
Earthworms also help decompose leaves in the fall. It’s estimated they’re responsible for the breakdown of ninety percent of fallen leaves!
In the earthworm, we praise God for providing Earth with an efficient system of enriching the soil. Yes, God’s glory is seen everywhere we look!
