Margin is having excess.

1. God must be our God.

2. We create Margin when we become Passion Givers

1. We need light to reveal our darkness. (21-22). My sin need to be disclosed so that I can do something about it.
2. His word begins to grow in us unexplainably. (26-29)
3. What starts as something small changes and becomes influential. (30-32). More birds can perch on it’s branches.
4. The sign of our growth is our faith. (35-41). It’s in how we react in a storm.

1. Path Seeds (15). Those who don’t listen to God’s Word.

2. Rocky Seeds (16-17). They accept it for what it does for them. When they are asked to sacrifice for it, they turn away.

3. Thorn Seeds (18-19). They love what the world offers more than the relationship with God that He offers. Worries and deception become seed chokers.

4. Good Soil Seed (20). They hear it, accept it and do what it says. How do we know? It produces a crop.

1. They spend time with Jesus. (7 – they withdrew with him; 14 – “they might be with him.”).
2. They helped him as he helped others. (14) The got a boat.
3. They share Good News. (14). They preach.
4. They help people experience transformation (15). They were also given the ability to cast out demons. What the demon possessed lived for, they no longer lived for.

1. We can prioritize rules. It brings attention to my abilities. There were strict rules for the sabbath. I want to be seen as the best rule follower.
2. We can prioritize people. It is to meet their needs. (25-26).
3. We understand God’s priority. (27-28). The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. God made the Sabbath for man to remember God and to remember their calling to represent Him. It is to care for those He created. It isn’t to show how great we are. We are to remember how great God is.

3. His helping others brought more people to him. (29-34).

4. He was capable to serve because he prayed. (35-37).

5. He didn’t lose focus of his purpose. (38-39).

6. He was successful in his purpose because he was willing. (40-42).

7. People can’t keep Good News silent. (43-46).
