Today we ask that question, how is it possible that Peter walked on water? And what kind of faith is necessary to do that? And where does it come from? Let's talk more about it today. We've been talking over the past several sessions about faith. The word faith is an Old English word. It actually means trust, and that trust is on a person, The Lord Jesus Christ. Now, in the New Testament scripture, the word faith, the word believe, and the word trust are all equal. They mean the same thing, that is to have faith on the Lord Jesus Christ. We begin a new series on the use of Faith. Christians are faith people, but before we can use faith, we have to understand Faith. We have been talking over the past several sessions about effective prayer. When one becomes a Christian one has to learn how to pray. God wants to answer your prayers and prayer is a dialogue with God and we suddenly previous broadcasts that whenever we enter prayer with the Lord, that we should give the Lord the opportunity to speak first. We can't go to God with a shopping list of things that we would like. And we must also, First and I when we go into prayer with God that we cannot bring an agenda with us, we cannot present ourselves to God with this shopping list of things that we want. Not taking into consideration, the fact that maybe God wants to talk to us about something else. We continue our discussion today and the first thing we want to ask is; what are the three elements of prayer itself? Well, what is prayer? Prayer is conversation with God. So the first element is conversing and that is two by speaking to him and three by listening to him. As a matter of fact, it's a very good practice of Very good policy. When we present ourselves to God In Prayer to first and foremost be silent for some moments to let God speak first. He speaks to us in our thoughts and when he speaks to us, he never says anything contrary to his word, his voice. Sounds like a still Small Voice.
