  • Nov 2 – 2 Corinthians – Pt 8 – We Are Ambassadors for Christ
Today’s text describes an appeal to those in Corinth who know Paul. Here we’ll find that Christ's love compels Paul to continue to urge all people that they be reconciled to God through faith in Christ, just as he was. He tells them that in Christ, God is not counting people's sins against them, but instead giving them credit for Christ's righteous life. And as Christ's ambassador, Paul pleads for all people to be reconciled to God through faith in Christ. Stay tuned and let’s find out more. Thanks for listening, God bless you! Last time, chapter 4 ended with references to the great suffering experienced by Paul and his fellow evangelists. And we know that Paul had unescapable threats to his physical life. But he was prepared for that. In fact, he longed for what would come after that moment. So how did he not become distracted? In today’s text it gives an explanation and application of why Paul so looked forward to coming glory. There are several glorious realities that await us. Let’s talk about it! • Oct 19 – 2 Corinthians – Pt 6 – Treasures in Jars of Clay
Have you ever acted in a disgraceful or dishonest way before? At one point or another in life many of us probably have. Did we mean it? Did we know better? In today’s study Paul insisted that he and his co-workers for Christ would never act in a way that was disgraceful or dishonest, though he knew some were blinded by Satan from believing their message about Jesus. But no matter how difficult Paul’s suffering was, he refused to quit. Why and why is that important for us? Let’s talk about it! Thanks for listening, God bless you! • Oct 12 – 2 Corinthians – Pt 5 – The Glory of the New Covenant
Today we’re going to talk about Paul's comparison of the glory of God as revealed in two covenants The first is the Old Covenant with Israel, second is the far greater glory revealed in the New Covenant of God's grace through faith in Christ. The glory of the Old Covenant is fading just as it did on Moses' face after he had been with God. Those who come to God through faith in Christ are forgiven for their sins and able to look on God's glory. The veil of unbelief must be removed by the Spirit through Christ. And for those who see Him, they will begin to become like Him. Thanks for listening, God bless you! To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.

  • Oct 5 – 2 Corinthians – Pt 4 – Ministers of the New Covenant
Today we’re going to start by talking about how Paul was so plagued with concern over Titus’s welfare and the status of the Corinthian church that he passed over a definite opportunity to preach the Gospel in Troas (2:12-13). I don’t think many missionaries would to write that kind of a report to their supporters—definitely not a good look. Then we’ll talk more about the opposition, conflict and distress Paul faced at every turn. And we’ll finish with Paul’s burst of heartfelt praise. Come on...let’s get to it! • Sep 28 – 2 Corinthians – Pt 3 – Forgiveness for the Sinner
After explaining in general terms why he had delayed his visit to Corinth, Paul addressed the specific confrontation that most likely had led to his decision to cancel his visit. Paul doesn’t name the offender who had caused the trouble the last time he was in Corinth, but he does instruct the church on how to handle this man. It was essential that the church act quickly to forgive and restore this man, while he was still repentant. Why was that important? And how does it relate to the church today? We’ll talk about that more in a moment so stay with us. Thanks for listening, God bless you! To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.
