In today’s passage, Rom 12:1-21, Paul teaches the Romans, and us, that being devoted to Christ requires a change in behavior. But we can’t change on our own. We need God’s help. As we study this passage you’ll find three things we can do to develop our relationship with God. Also we’ll find there are several behaviors’ that should be demonstrated in our lives as a result of this spiritual work. Let’s do this! Thanks for listening, God bless you! This is a big, big moment my friends. Since the time of the Creation of the world, God has been waiting for this moment. It’s the moment of the introduction of the Savior of the World to the world He came to save. John handles it masterfully. He puts on a clinic on how to introduce someone to Jesus. If you’re looking for a simple and effective outline on how to introduce your friends to Jesus this is it—you do it by doing what John did at the Jordan River that day. Thanks for listening. Sharing is something that we were all taught to do as children, but often struggle with, even as adults. The Jews found it difficult to share God with the Gentiles. In our Scripture for today, Rom 11:1-26, Paul explains how Israel’s rejection of Jesus was the Gentiles opportunity to receive the mercy of God and connect with Jesus. Does God then reject Israel for rejecting Himself? We’ll answer that question and much so stay tuned. Thanks for listening, God bless you! Up to now in this series we’ve introduced you to the Forerunner: John the Baptist. But today we’re going to see that there is one who is greater than John. When Luke recorded this story, he wanted to be sure no one missed the point. Luke was convinced by the evidence that Jesus was greater than the greatest man who ever lived and greater than the most powerful man alive. So he wrote his story, to tell us the story and that’s what we’re going to unpack with you today. Thanks for listening. To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.

In today’s study Paul continues to contrast the way of works with the way of faith. The way of works, which the Jews attempted to follow, does not lead to God because we are all sinful. The way of faith depends on God’s grace and leads to eternal life. This way is quite simple, but the results are life changing. Stay tuned and we’ll tell you more. Words matter and they have power. They can shape the world. The Bible says that in the beginning God spoke the world into existence—that’s powerful. And words can shape reality and direct destiny as well. When the Lord restored Zechariah’s speech when John was born he spoke good and powerful words over his son that shaped his reality and destiny. What were they and how can those words impact our lives and the lives of our children as well? Stay with us and we’ll tell you how. Thanks for listening. Today we continue in our study of Romans with a look at why Israel rejected Jesus and what they were trusting in for their salvation. No one likes to be rejected. But Jesus is rejected on a daily basis. It started many years ago with the very people He came to save. As you go through this study with us think of the people you know who have rejected God and ask God to make your heart ache for them. Thanks for listening, God bless you! We’re continuing from where we left off last week in Romans 9. Today we pick up with verses 10-24. In this study Paul reminds the Jewish people of all that God has blessed them with, including the fact that from them is traced the human ancestry of Jesus. He blessed them in ways beyond other groups of people. But they now needed to accept that God sent His Son, Jesus, to make it possible for the Gentiles to also receive those blessings. Let’s talk more about it! Thanks for joining us! To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.

Today we start a powerful 6-week series titled Forerunner. We’re going to discover the “behind-the-scenes” story of how John the Baptist was prophesied for centuries to be the forerunner for Jesus Christ. Each week we’ll explores passages from the Old Testament, which foreshadow not only the forerunner’s coming in John the Baptist, but also the coming of Messiah and how the two are intertwined. Just like John’s ministry pointed to Jesus, so should our lives point to Christ. And so it begins with Part 1 titled How God Prepares The World. Thanks for listening.
