  • Aug 8 – Ephesians: The Mystery Revealed – Pt 9, Imitating Christ

Last week we learned how the Apostle Paul described, in general terms, the putting off of the old self and the putting on of the new. Then he described particular sins of speech and personal animosities. He continues here in Chap 5:1-14 further describing actions that are unsuitable among the Christian community. So with that in mind today we’re going to talk about Imitating Christ—how to do it and how it impacts our witness as Christians. Stay tuned...you’ll be glad you did. Have a great day! • Jul 21 – Romans, Pt 13 – Our Struggle With Sin

Have you ever felt like the more you try to do good the more you don’t? Have you ever felt like there is nothing good in you as a result? Those are all-too-familiar feelings for many. In today’s study the Apostle Paul will come across as more human than in any other Scriptures he wrote. And that’s particularly important with this subject we’re going to talk about. We’re going to learn that we are not alone in our struggle against sin. Even Paul had his battles. And we’ll learn that there is a rescue available for all. Let’s read Rom 7:14-25 and note how Paul gives thanks despite his frustration. Thanks for listening! To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.

  • Jul 14 – Romans, Pt 12 – God’s Law Reveals Our Sin

How many of you like getting caught for doing something wrong? That’s a silly question right? The answer is: none of us want to get caught for doing something wrong. And there aren’t too many of us who like a bunch of rules that we have to follow either. In today’s study Paul writes that the rules God gives us, or the Law, are not bad. They just expose everyone’s wrongdoing. Though we can’t obey God’s Law without the help of the Spirit, the Law is still needed to reveal our sinful ways. So open your Bibles or Bible apps and lets find out how Paul appreciates what the Law provides. Thanks for listening! To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.

  • Jul 7 – Romans, Pt 11 – Freedom From Sin

Sin can be extremely defeating. It can demoralize a person to the point that they give up. Paul’s letter emphasizes how grace has the power to free people from the defeat sin can bring. The Law has no power either. No longer does the believer live by a list of rules and regulations but by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Freedom is at hand beloved, stay tuned. Thanks for listening! • Jun 27 – Ephesians: The Mystery Revealed – Pt 5, God’s Mystery Plan Revealed

We’re almost halfway through this sermon series on Ephesians and it’s been a great trip so far. So here’s a question...did you like a good mystery? I don’t mean the ’whodunnit’ type. I mean “a divine, sacred secret that is hidden in the heart of God, and cannot be understood unless God chooses to reveal it to man”—kind of mystery. Do you like that? Did you know that God had a mystery plan? No? We’ll He did and today we’re going to talk about it. Want to find out more? Stay tuned...you’ll be glad you did. Thanks for listening!
