Paul longed for the Jews to accept what Jesus did for them and he wanted them to accept God’s plan of salvation for the Gentiles as well. A sense of belonging is something we all strive for. It helps us to know that we’re not alone and there are others who share our background and values. The Jewish people in Paul’s day enjoyed this sense of being God’s chosen people but they didn’t exactly like the idea of sharing it with anyone else. Sound familiar? Let’s talk about it! Last week we considered Agur the prophet and list-maker who, in the other parts of Proverbs 30, reminds us to explore God’s Word, seek God’s purpose, appreciate God’s undefinability, ponder God’s timeline, affirm God’s authority, and anticipate God’s eternity. But we saved the best for this week. The buried treasure in Proverbs 30 is the 3-verse prayer that delivers a shocking formula for trusting God and discovering His will for our life. Stay tuned and thanks for listening. To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.
Did you know that Proverbs 30 contains the only prayer in the entire book of Proverbs? It really does and it was written by a man most people have never heard of—Agur. This two-part sermon series was inspired by the book, The Prayer of Agur by Jay Payleitner and much of what we’ll be sharing is drawn from this book. The prayer of Agur offers life-changing potential. So come and join us as we discover Ancient Wisdom for finding contentment in our lives. Every human being wants to be loved by someone. As this Scripture passage teaches, God’s love for us is so wonderful it can’t even be compared to human love. Sure we could sacrifice our life for another. Soldiers in time of war have proven that. But we don’t have the power to bring that sacrificed life back from the dead. Paul writes that God’s love is so great, it can’t be separated from us even when we die. How can that be? Stay tuned and you’ll find out the answer to that and more. Thanks for joining us! Well, we’ve done it! We’ve reached the last sermon in our series Ephesians: The Mystery Revealed. That’s right...11-weeks ago we started and today we wrap it up. Folks we're fighting an enemy we can't see... but then again we can't see COVID either. Nations around the world have committed to fight COVID and won’t be satisfied until that enemy is defeated. Are we as committed to defeating our enemy? It’s time for us to Gear Up and get to work! To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.
Welcome back to our Fall mid-week Bible study where we’re continuing our study in Romans. Today we pick up with chapter 8. Some have said that if the Bible were a wedding ring, Romans would be the diamond and chapter 8 would be the sparkle of that diamond. We’re going to look at the joyful news that we are God’s children and co-heirs with Christ. And to help us fight the daily battle, God has not left us alone; He has given us the Holy Spirit. There’s a lot more to share so stay tuned...you’ll be glad you did. Have a blessed day! To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.
At the end of last week’s sermon we told you that there was a third thing we could do that would to make it easier for God’s Spirit to fill us with His power and that’s what we’re going to talk about today. We’re going to talk about Biblical Submission. Submission provides evidence that we have Spirit-controlled relationships. How? We’re going to answer that question and a lot more so stay tuned...you’ll be glad you did. Have a blessed day! To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.

Last week we shared with you from Eph 5:8 that believers have the responsibility to live in the light and to expose evil. And because of that they need to be careful how they live. We also saw in Eph 5:10 that their lives must please God and they must conduct themselves before unbelievers in such as a way as to shine with Christ and draw others to Him. Today we’re continuing in Eph 5 with verses 15-20 and we’ll talk about Living by the Spirit’s Power. We’ll tell you more in a minute so stay with us. Have a super day!
