There are many things the Bible says that man makes. In this message we look at making paths straight and making true change. Messy doesn't mean broken. Living things make messes. Good news, messes can be cleaned up.

You are are a member of God's team. Do you see yourself as a bystander or a team member? You are not a bench warm. Let's get off the bench and into the game of our life.

This was a service where 4 teenagers shared in the service. I will give a few nuggets from each teen.

-God is doing a new thing every single day!

-Focusing on the past will keep you from living in the present, and you will miss the opportunities of that day.

-This new year brings opportunities. There is no reason to be afraid. Where man see the unknown, God see opportunities.

-We need to set spiritual goals and to accomplish them. Lasting change comes from God!

-We should love who we are! Many times the changes we are trying to make are natural. It can be toxic to think we need to change all the time. How can we worship a God who makes all things new, glorious, and beautiful if we don't think he made us that way?

God is a big God! God revealed himself to Abram in a way Abram didn't know him as. Pastor shares that it doesn't matter what you start with, it matters that you start! God is bigger than our imaginations, and yet he is small enough to fit into the heart of man. God is bigger than any need you have, and yet he is small enough to hear your prayer. God is bigger than the universe he created, and yet he is small enough to know the hairs on your head. God Is A Big God

When we look to who and what God used in the past, one thing is certain. It is likely that God will use what man considers unlikely.

One of the common traditions of Christmas is giving. With various traditions people may give gifts, time, alms but in all our giving we are encouraged to give that which we have received. Stuff is too easy, it allows a person to check out after the transaction. Give of yourself to bless others.

Jesus spoke about the porter who controls who comes through doors. He also spoke of hirelings who are similar to shepherds in skills but the outcome for the sheep is night and day different.

The Apostle Paul tells Philemon that the communication of his faith becomes effectual when he acknowledges every good thing in him in Christ. This is a spiritual exercise that is not a default for our flesh. The flesh by default acknowledges and magnifies what is wrong or lacking. Exercise yourself spiritually by choosing what to magnify.
