After becoming a successful surgeon, he got caught robbing a bank and just got out of prison after serving six years. I went to the doc yesterday and lo and behold my vision is now 20/20 in the eye that was operated on. Thank God! Hallelujah! And thanks again for the many prayers for healing from you and people from all around the world. After my post-op meeting with the doctor, I was in such a celebratory mood I read every sign I saw aloud to my wife as we drove home. I think she is tired of this latest dilemma and you might be too, but having your vision restored is no small thing. When I began this process, I couldn’t read a roadside sign. Thanks to my many friends who have written to tell me that they have been praying for my vision. My doctor told me that my eye operation which was performed yesterday at 6 a.m. went flawlessly; however, it could be several days of even weeks before we know whether my vision has improved. This morning my eye is swollen, red, and blurry which is common for the day after. Today I undergo surgery on my left eye. The old lens comes off and a new perfect one goes on. This operation is very safe and nearly foolproof. It is however vitally important to me. If my vision does not improve dramatically after replacing the lens and I still have terrible vision, then it means the macular degradation in the retina of my eye has deteriorated. If that has occurred, short of a miracle of God, it cannot be repaired. It is one of those dread diseases for which there currently is no cure. It seems to me that the term racist is being worn to a frazzle. It used to be the case that only professional race baiters like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton engaged in it, but these days everyone seems to want to label anyone who disagrees with them a racist. One of my sons and his family came for a visit this past weekend. My son and I went fishing on Friday and hooked up a double header of sailfish. Our father/son fishing team triumphed and we landed both fish and successfully released them in about an hour.
