It will give us a long life and things will go well for us. As we have been going through our study of Proverbs 20, we are finding a variety of lessons that Solomon is trying to teach his son. He teaches his son that if he dishonors his parents, it goes to his own hurt. This commandment still applies today as it did thousands of years ago, because its origins is in God. Jesus was the great example of bringing honor to his father, therefore as Christians we should imitate. This is the conclusion of the message, Words to Live By
