When you want to be successful, the first time you achieve your definition of success you realise that your definition was too small. Success is never really achievable to those who are truly wanting it, because those who have a mind wired to attain success know that there is always more to be done. Mastery, an infinite process that many of us treat like a finite one. You can never be the best, you can only be better.
Who are you? Why are you the way you are? These questions can keep you busy for a lifetime, but if you are not happy with the answers, they are subject to change. Nothing is set in stone and we are remarkably malleable with the right motivation and mindset.
Honesty is more than not telling lies, it can be extremely hard to live honestly. Living honestly relies on us being honest with ourselves, to be honest with ourselves we have to confront the truth and this can be incredibly painful. The longer we have run from it, the harder it can be to confront it, the longer we have worn the mask the more we see it as our reflection in the mirror.
If you imagine God as a human-like entity sitting on a cloud, playing a video game and the game he was playing was your life, would they be playing a good game? If not, why not? What could you do differently to live your life in a way that you would be happy to play?
Sometimes trusting our intuition takes a leap of faith, it takes trusting a deeper knowledge and not a cerebral understanding. There have been many times in my life where I didn't know what the answer was, or there were many paths to take, but deep down I knew what to do. Learning to trust that, hone your relationship with yourself and your intuition, and take the required leap of faith without hesitation.
Say it to the universe, let it know that nothing will stand in your way, that you will continue to rise and ascend no matter what life throws at you. When you accept your position, when you accept that there is no alternative, the rest is easy.
Gifting The Gift Of Giving The Gift. What a peculiarly nice title, but one that pretty much sums up the meaning of the whole episode when deciphered. Allowing someone to exercise their gift of giving you their gifts. Allowing others to help us is a gift to those helping us as much as it is a blessing to receive help.
Is ADHD a root cause, or a collection of symptoms grouped together? I believe the latter to be the case, with trauma being the root cause instead. A chaotic childhood environment can often cause the development of chronic awareness, where the child develops a toolkit for survival. The problem with this toolkit is it is built for survival, not living the life we want to live. Rather than trying to manage symptoms, it is important we are doing both, managing our symptoms and working on the root cause itself.
Do you think your thoughts? Are you in control of what comes to you? Can you really control what you think or can you only control what thoughts you attach to? If you want to start breaking patterns and healing, you must first understand what is happening and why.
We all make these kinds of statements, "I have to do this", "I must do that." It can make us feel powerless, that our life is a chore, forcing us to go from one mandatory task to the next. We can change the rhetoric, and remind ourselves that our actions are choices we make and we are not forced into a corner by life. Your life is your choice.
