We are living in a time where science is believed to negate ancient wisdom, that spirituality is nonsense and only for the unscientific. Yet more and more, we are seeing science coincide with ancient wisdom, not disprove it. The two do not have to be mutually exclusive, one does not disprove the other.

Some Changes we can't make immediately, but does that mean we are just supposed to wait? Absolutely not! We need to do everything we can to prepare ourselves for the change to take place. Create space, Clear room, Know what to expect and what is required.

From childhood, we are taught to look outside of ourselves to know whether our actions, the way we look, and the people we are are, is good enough. We are taught that external validation supersedes internal validation and that our feelings and thoughts are not as important as the thoughts and feelings of others. This is something we must move away from, to place ourselves back in the drivers seat and give ourselves the authority over our lives back.

Motivation is unreliable, the best way to remain motivated is to take motivation out of the equation altogether. Motivation implies there is a choice, that you will do something depending on how you feel. Discipline is the art of doing something regardless of how you feel. Discipline allows you to be consistent, it ensures the work you need to do gets done. Motivation is great, but you can't depend on it.

Feel the fear and do it anyway, is the underlying message of this episode. Acts of courage are not measured by external perception, but in internal conflict. The truest acts of bravery exist when someone overcomes the fear they feel in service of a noble cause. It is not about not feeling scared, or becoming someone that doesn't feel fear, but instead being someone capable of feeling afraid but being unwavering in the face of it.

We all go through transitionary periods in our lives, times when we are making or have made changes, yet our circumstances, environment, and relationships have not quite caught up. Sometimes it can be us that's the thing that's not changed or adapted. This period can be painful, we can long for our situation to be different and feel as though we are doing everything to change yet the change isn't being realized in the world. One of two things needs to happen depending on the circumstances, we either need to be patient and allow the fruits of our labour to come to bear, or we are still holding onto something that we need to let go of in order to grow.

Trust, not control. Trust that things will be okay, trust that you are capable of dealing with the fallout, trust in the universe. Trust is the antidote to anxiety.

Only when we emerge from the cave, can our eyes truly adjust to the light.

When you want to be successful, the first time you achieve your definition of success you realise that your definition was too small. Success is never really achievable to those who are truly wanting it, because those who have a mind wired to attain success know that there is always more to be done. Mastery, an infinite process that many of us treat like a finite one. You can never be the best, you can only be better.

Who are you? Why are you the way you are? These questions can keep you busy for a lifetime, but if you are not happy with the answers, they are subject to change. Nothing is set in stone and we are remarkably malleable with the right motivation and mindset.
