  • Even Now - Your Weekly Calling

Have you ever looked back at a season of your life and thought, “Man, I wasted a lot of time there”? In this episode of Your Weekly Calling, Brad dives into the book of Joel and two powerful words from God: “Even now.”

Through Joel’s promise to restore “the years the locusts have eaten,” a personal story about a relationship that didn’t work out, and the true story of Thomas Edison rebuilding after a devastating fire, Brad explores how God can redeem the seasons we thought were wasted.

You can’t change what happened. You can’t go back and rewrite the past. But your worst chapter doesn’t have to become the title of your story.

Instead of asking, “Why did I waste that?” maybe it’s time to ask, “God, how can You use that?”

Because even now, God isn’t finished.

  • Practical Magic (1998) - Movie Torture

This week on Movie Torture, Brad, Mark, and MTD take on Practical Magic—a movie that promises witches, curses, romance, and supernatural chaos, but leaves the guys with a whole lot of questions.

Along the way, they try to figure out where the movie’s massive budget went, recreate what may have been the strangest Hollywood pitch meeting of 1998, debate whether anyone actually does witchcraft in this witch movie, and somehow wander into Liam Neeson, The Thin Red Line, Salem being the Myrtle Beach of witchcraft, and Brad’s questionable decision to pay actual money to see Polish Wedding.

Plus, there’s a detective from Tucson, margaritas, a death beetle, MTD trying to keep everyone on track, and enough tangents to make you forget what movie they’re supposed to be reviewing.

Grab your broomstick and join us as we try to answer one very important question:

    Where is the practical magic?

  • God Picked the Shepherd - Your Weekly Calling

Ever feel like everyone else is getting picked while you're stuck watching from the sidelines? In this episode of Your Weekly Calling, Brad dives into 1 Samuel 16 and the surprising moment God chooses David—the kid his own family didn't even bother inviting into the room.

Through David's story and a look at Abraham Lincoln's long road of setbacks before becoming president, Brad explores what it means to trust God's timing when you feel overlooked. Maybe you're not behind. Maybe the season that feels insignificant is actually preparing you for what's next.

The season nobody thought mattered, mattered to God.

  • The Floor Season 6 Ep. 1: Shock Collars, Power Shots & Bad Decisions - The Floor Recap with Angie, Ashley and Brad

The Floor is officially back, and so are Brad, Angie, and Ashley—ready to overanalyze every duel, question every strategy, and apparently suggest shock collars for contestants who forget it’s their turn.

This week, the crew breaks down the Season 6 premiere, including brutal categories, questionable decisions to retreat back to the floor, and the new Power Shot. Ashley puts on her former-champion hat to explain what contestants actually see during a duel, why freezing for 14 seconds can't be blamed on production, and why going back to the floor after two wins might not be the brilliant strategy some people think it is. Meanwhile, Angie attempts to keep the recap moving, and Brad proposes shock collars as a completely reasonable solution to contestant confusion.

Ashley also weighs in on the strategy behind the new twists, Brad celebrates the rare occasion when he remembers something Angie doesn't, and the crew debates whether some of these “champions” were given categories that have anything to do with what they actually won.

Plus: Pastor Brad vs. Podcast Brad, Sunday toppings somehow returns, an Air Guitar champion enters the conversation, and Brad discovers another contestant named Brad—which, along with being a barbecue champion, is apparently enough to earn an invitation onto the podcast.

The Floor is back. Ashley has the insider knowledge. Angie has the notes. Brad has the sound drops. And somehow, shock collars are still the solution.

  • 100 Steps Later - Your Weekly Calling

100 episodes. A lot of Bible names pronounced wrong. A few guest voices. And one faithful God through all of it.

For the 100th episode of Your Weekly Calling, Brad looks back at where it started and the simple lesson God has continued to teach him along the way: you don't need to know where the journey ends to be faithful with the next step.

Through Joshua 4, the story of Israel's memorial stones, and a lesson from Winston Churchill, Brad challenges us to stop looking so far ahead that we forget what God has already done. Where has God been faithful in your life? What prayers has He answered? What doors has He opened—or closed? And what step is He asking you to take next?

You don't need the entire map. You just need enough faith for the next step.

Here's to 100 episodes—and whatever God does with the next 100.

  • Apex (2026) - Movie Torture

Brad and Mark take on Netflix’s Apex, a movie that somehow combines Cliffhanger, The River Wild, The Hunt, a cannibal thriller, and what feels suspiciously like an AI-generated screenplay. Charlize Theron gets chased through the Australian wilderness by Taron Egerton, who gives her exactly four minutes to run while blasting The Chemical Brothers—and somehow that’s the best four minutes of the entire movie.

Along the way, the guys debate funeral peas, celebrate Brad’s legendary fourth-grade spelling bee championship, question how anyone survives a bear trap, and discover that apparently cannibalism is all it takes for the conversation to turn into planning MTD’s barbecue dinner. Brad decides MTD’s rump roast would be the prime cut, adds slaw and a toasted bun, fires up the Traeger, and somehow Mark ends up worried that if he ever visits Brad’s house, he needs to verify exactly where the barbecue came from.

Oh, and somewhere in there they actually review Apex—a movie Mark describes as about seven different movies mashed together, with none of them being particularly good.

Come for the movie review. Stay to find out why MTD somehow ended up as dinner.

  • Champions, Chaos & Car Jitsu - The Floor Recap with Angie, Ashley and Brad

Season 6 of The Floor is the Season of Champions, so naturally Brad, Angie, and new co-host Ashley spend nearly an hour determining whether half of these people are actually champions of anything.

Ashley brings actual champion credentials and legitimate strategy. Angie does research. Brad shows up having watched absolutely none of the previews and immediately demands answers about champion hairdressers, HVAC competitions, hot dog racers, chess boxing, car jitsu, and why The Floor somehow found a water-purifier sales champion but couldn't locate a world-class farting champion.

Along the way, the crew fixes Fox's entire game format for free, proposes stealing another show's million-dollar budget, debates whether normal people are disappearing from The Floor, accidentally invents The Floorhouse, and Brad proves Ashley's point about forgettable contestants by attempting to name ten people from Angie's season and dying almost immediately.

Then everything goes completely off the rails when a discussion about the Queen of Burlesque somehow leads Brad to reveal that he buys used bathing suits at Goodwill, only to learn—in real time—from Angie and Ashley exactly who is buying used lingerie on Facebook Marketplace. Ashley calls him painfully naive, Angie educates him about the dark corners of the internet, and a perfectly respectable Floor preview briefly becomes a podcast HR would have shut down 20 minutes earlier.

There are predictions. There is strategy. There are champions

  • Classic Episode: "Are You Having Fun Today?" - Your Weekly Calling

In this week’s episode of Your Weekly Calling, Brad takes a refreshing dive into a topic that might seem out of place in a busy, responsibility-filled world—fun. He kicks things off with a simple yet profound question: Are you having fun today? For many of us, the answer might be a resounding “no,” especially when we’re caught in the grind of everyday life—driving to work, dreading the tasks ahead, and feeling overwhelmed by responsibilities. But Brad brings a thought-provoking perspective rooted in Proverbs 17:22: "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."

Brad explores the importance of joy and fun, which can often be seen as optional, something we do only after we've “checked off” everything else. He challenges this mindset, reminding us that fun isn't a luxury, but a vital part of life. Brad shares how he personally loves to have fun and embrace his goofball side. While he acknowledges that serious conversations and moments can be hard for him, he emphasizes that God didn’t create us to live joyless lives. Rather, He created us to experience joy and fun as a reflection of His goodness.

He encourages listeners to celebrate even the smallest moments in life. Have you taken a moment today to celebrate the fact that you woke up? That you're heading to work, connecting with people, and experiencing the world around you? Brad reminds us that fun and joy are in the everyday moments—whether it’s spending time with family, enjoying a sunrise, or simply being present in a moment of laughter. He points to the life of Jesus, who took part in celebrations, attended weddings, dined with friends, and delighted in children. Jesus was no stranger to joy, and He invites us to partake in that same joy in our daily lives.

Brad also notes that fun isn’t a break from faith—it is a part of it. Fun reflects God’s character. God is a joyful God. His creation—from the beauty of nature to the laughter of children—shows us His creativity and delight. Brad shares that his mind is always buzzing with creative ideas, and he encourages listeners to embrace the joy of creativity in their own lives as well.

    Key Takeaways:

    • Fun is not a luxury; it’s a vital part of our lives that reflects God’s goodness and joy.
    • Proverbs 17:22 reminds us that a cheerful heart is like medicine for the soul.
    • Fun doesn’t mean neglecting responsibilities—it’s about celebrating the life God gave us.
    • Take joy in the everyday moments: waking up, spending time with others, and appreciating the world around you.
    • Jesus Himself enjoyed moments of celebration, showing that fun and faith are connected.
    • Fun and joy reflect God’s character and creativity. Embrace the joy in creation and your everyday life.

Brad leaves listeners with this question: When was the last time you celebrated the life God gave you? Whether it’s laughing with friends, enjoying nature, or simply being present in a moment of joy, fun is not just an escape from life—it’s part of God’s design for us.

  • Ice Cream Man (1995) - Movie Torture

Brad and Mark scoop into 1995’s Ice Cream Man, a movie featuring Clint Howard, bugs in the ice cream, a kidnapped kid named Small Paul, a wildly random Steve Garvey appearance, and enough questionable filmmaking decisions to make you wonder if anyone actually read the script. Along the way, Jacob gets promoted to MTD Lite, the guys investigate the secret economy of ice cream trucks, pitch Rob Gronkowski in a Hunter reboot, question whether Ron Howard ever actually watched his brother’s movie, and unveil a brand-new “Level of Torture” rating system. Spoiler: Ice Cream Man scores VERY high. Brad even declares it one of the five worst movies he’s ever watched for Movie Torture—which, after nearly 200 bad movies, is basically a cinematic war crime.

We watched it so you don’t have to. Seriously. Don’t.
