Work Your Energy

Reclaiming my power was probably one of the most useful things I learnt as a small business owner, and that's because it forced me to stop reacting to things, people and environments around me. Once you realise that the way you react to things shapes your life, it helps you to think before you act - or react.

This week's episode follows on from Finding your vision for 2020 and looks at our goals for 2020.

In it, I explain how I ended up setting visions or 'feelings' instead of goals this year (and then had mini goals coming off that) and how you can step into being a successful business whenever you want to. 

I also talk about positive feeling, which is something I used to get back from depression after my mother died, in the hope that you can too. Step into the feeling of positivity or elevated emotion and become that feeling, then cement it with repetition.

This week's episode is all about ideas and how to generate more of them, because it's ideas that are our biggest competitive advantage in our business. And all we have to do is change the brainwaves in our brains to get us to the ones that generate more ideas. Alpha brainwaves or the intuitive mind. 

Our creative brains are what sets us apart from the animal world, and our ability to create outside of our brain, or imagine a new reality is what has allowed us to evolve at such a fast rate.

We are all as creative as each other but many of us think that we aren't, it's simply that we are not focused on our creativity or we are blocking it. 

Stress, fear and being too prescriptive will all block our creativity, and most small business owners I meet suffer from all of these - or at least two of them. 

So, tune in and listen to a brief introduction to creativity and then do 3 exercises to help you change your brainwaves.

This week's episode look's at why we need to set goals higher than we are setting them. The episode runs on from last week, where we looked at how to set energetic goals, and goes through the theory of why we should push ourselves with them.

Whenever you set energetic goals, ask yourself if you can go higher - because most of the time you can. It's not about setting unrealistic goals or goals that you don't believe you can achieve, it's about pushing your thinking outside of the box that your mind and society has put you in. Fear, expectations, imposter syndrome or playing too small can all have an effect on the type of goals you set for yourself in your business, but so can being so busy that you don't have time to think beyond your day to day.  

What I try and do is get business owners to stretch beyond their current thinking and think about the 'big' picture for a moment, because when you know where you are going, you will get there faster. Both energetically and physically.

What are super energies? After reading Joe Dispenza's book Becoming Supernatural, and understanding that thoughts, emotions and feelings are energy, this is my take on which energies (emotions and feelings) I deem to be the most important to us as busy, stressed out business owners. 

There are certain emotions (energies) that can help us to be more positive, get our life back into flow, recharge us and help us to "grow from the inside out". 

Gratitude - When we feel grateful we open ourselves up to receive more (a good thing when you are trying to achieve more in your business), recharge our bodies and get back to positive energy (we need this to grow our business faster). 

Believe - Believing in yourself and your ability to be, do and have the life and business you want, the goals you want and the things you want will change everything for you. When you believe in yourself, your life transforms.  

Forgive - Forgiving yourself, others and things that have happened in your life, will get you back to positive energy, release dead weight and lower your stress levels. Forgive everyone, and yourself and watch your life transform and your business shift.
