Hannah Gadbsy is an Australian comedian, writer, actor, and television presenter. Not only is she a woman with many talents, she exemplifies integrity and honesty and I believe her actions is a great example of being proactive in changing the narrative of woman in society, feminism, and sexuality.
I believe we can all learn from her proactiveness and engineering students specifically can apply her strategy to their education, career, and life.

Getting a degree in engineering is not easy. Yes, there may be a general process on how to get a degree: go to class, get good grades, graduate, and get the job. But, many students need to understand that the path to getting can be unique and of their own way. Sometimes it may require a simple merge or a simple lateral movement in order to move forward in obtaining the degree. In this episode, I share my journey and the purpose of this is to connect with students who may be in a similar situation.

These general courses may include social sciences, humanities, english, and math. Now for an engineering student, you can imagine the frustration of taking these general courses because these courses do not relate to their specified major.
Believe it or not, I think there is value in these general and prerequisite courses. I think these courses teach students how to be well rounded problem solvers. In this episode, I dig deep and address this concern that many students have.
