Ronda Rousey is back, but not the way you would expect her to return! This is the creator and writer of a new comic book titled Expecting the Unexpected!

Published by AWA with art by the great Mike Deodato Jr, Ronda sits down to discuss how this story came to life and what her expectations are as a comic book writer. Ronda is one of the top fighters in the world having won a bronze medal in the 2008 Olympics, winning the UFC championship in 2012 and has held 5 different WWE titles.

This fight is going to be a little different!

It will take place on the pages of a comic book being drawn by Mike Deodato Jr known for his work on Incredible Hulk, Dr. Strange, Amazing Spider-man, Avengers, X-Men, and more!

Chief Creative Officer Axel Alonso also joined to share how this partnership came together and the potential for so much more with Ronda.

I had the pleasure of sitting down with writer and creator Harvey Award nominated Joshua Dysart, known for his work on Conan, Hellboy, DC Vertigo, Valiant and now Bad Idea with his first title being Habitat.

Habitat is a story of a billionaire family living through the collapse of the world. No worries though, they have a multi-billion dollar bunker to escape! This bunker sits on one of the largest fresh water lakes. What could possibly go wrong? We will have to wait to see!

The art is done by writer/artist David Lapham known for his work on Stray Bullets. His career started with Jim Shooter as a penciler at Valiant Comics to writing for Top Cow on The Darkness, Detective Comics at DC, Daredevil vs. Punisher at Marvel and more!!

What an honor to speak with the John Wick creator and writer Derek Kolstad and NY Times best selling author Rob Venditti known for DC Hawkman, Valiant's X-O Manowar, and Green Lantern to name a few.

Derek brings his story Planet Death to Bad Idea and partner him with an award winning writer Robert Venditti with artist Tomas Giorello.

According to Derek this story follows Captain Scott as he is on a mission to destroy a super weapon. On this mission things do not go as planned and in order for him to return, that weapon must be destroyed.

The art by Tomas is breath taking and all though we have not received a preview that contains the story yet, listing to Derek and Robert we know it will be epic!

Ryan Claytor is the Coordinator of the Comic Art and Graphic Novel Minor and Assistant Professor at Michigan State University where he teaches Comics Studio courses and spearheaded the development of the interdisciplinary Comic Art and Graphic Novel minor between the Art and English departments. Claytor’s achievements have included six S.P.A.C.E. (Small Press and Alternative Comics Expo) Prizes , including 1st place in the mini-comics category (28pgs or less), 1st place in the General category (29-55pgs), and 1st place in the Graphic Novel category (56pgs or more), for his work in comics, a Cartoonist in Residence position at the Cartoon Art Museum, visiting lecturerships at the Dallas Museum of Art ,

The Center for Cartoon Studies, and The Savannah College of Art and Design, an internship with Marvel Comics, and judging the Will Eisner Spirit of Comics Retailing Award. In 2009, Claytor had a featured exhibition of his work in San Francisco’s Cartoon Art Museum and Claytor began teaching the first comics studio course in Michigan State University‘s history. Claytor has put together a a 250 page outline of Ryan's 20-year growth as an artist, is an outgrowth of his interest in sharing artistic processes and demystifying making.

Now, after 20 years of working as an artist and university educator, Ryan incorporated that curiosity into his life's work where he's been able to share methods of creating art and comics with thousands of students. You can have this amazing title in a couple ways!
