Neil Heritage is 37 years old. He’s from Dorset, England, and he’s currently training to climb the Matterhorn next week. It’s his third attempt and, if he and his team are successful, he’ll be the first double, above-knee amputee to complete the challenge.
Neil lost both of his legs when he was injured by a suicide bomber whilst he was a Corporal in the Army Iraq in 2004. He’s since done a bunch of incredible things; like triathlons, scuba diving, skiing and completed a 4800-km row across the Atlantic Ocean.
