Happy City Lab have worldwide projects now, but it all started in Geneva, Switzerland.

Ciné Transat is now in it's 10th edition; with open air screenings of cult movies, designed to bring people together throughout the summer. Catherine Armand, Ciné Transat coordinator, explains some of the highlights of the programme that runs until the 19th August, including some of the theme nights.

Also, did you know that they're also the same people who brought pianos and scattered them about the streets and transport hubs of Geneva?

Some particularly exciting news for the anglophones out there; we're all used to the movies in English having French subtitles. This is the first year that the classic French movies will also have English subtitles too, so head along and check out a cult French movie too.

But what's their motivation to put all this on and make people happy? Catherine Armand explains...

Following on from last week's show about Chinese gardens, this week we are looking at the English Landscape garden and the writer, William Shenstone, who could be said to have first described it and perhaps even invented it. His book "Unconnected Thoughts on Gardening" is in the Fondation Martin Bodmer's summer exhibition, "Des Jardins et des Livres" and is well worth a detour, to enjoy the comparisons with the formal French "how-to" guides around it. His garden, "The Leasowes" is still in existence, and can be visited for free. It is situated near Birmingham in the UK.The best example of an extant Swiss garden with a landscape park is the Hermitage at Arlesheim in Basel-Land and is open to the public on certain dates.
