In March 1999, convicted armed robber John Killick pulled off one of the most outrageous prison escapes in Australian history, with a little help from his new found lover of only several months. Russian librarian Lucy Dudko had hatched a daring plan to get Killick out of Sydney’s maximum-security Silverwater prison, using an escape method so audacious that nobody saw it coming - until they did. What followed was a dramatic getaway, 45 days on the run and one of the wildest love stories in Australian criminal history.

In 1983, ultramarathon runners from Australia and across the globe set their sights on the inaugural Westfield Sydney to Melbourne Ultra Marathon - an 875 kilometre race from Westfield in Parramatta, NSW to Westfield in Doncaster, Victoria. At the time this was seen as one of the hardest races in the world, a feat that would push the most elite endurance athletes in the world to breaking point - or so we thought.

Enter Cliff Young, a 61 year old farmer from Beech Forest, Victoria. Cliff got wind of the race through mention of friends and couldn't help but think it sounded oddly similar to what he did every day on the farm rounding up sheep. So, he decided he'd give it a good old fashioned crack. Unbeknownst to him, he would not only become famous for the Cliff Young Shuffle - he'd defy knowledge and belief, and inspire a nation to believe anything is possible.

On Anzac Day 1935 in the popular beachside suburb of Coogee, the Sydney locals were commemorating the Anzacs and making the most of another glorious Autumns day. Beach aquariums were the in thing at the time, and Albert Hobson had managed to catch and deliver a four metre long tiger shark as the new popular attraction.

When the shark began to act strange, almost as though it was going to die, onlookers became intrigued and anticipation started to grow. What happened next is one of the most bizarre and mysterious yarns that to this day, still doesn't have a definitive answer as to what actually happened, and why the shark vomited up a human arm.

In Portsea Victoria on December 17 1967, what was supposed to be a run of the mill summertime swim with family friends became an international news story that is still surrounded by massive question marks 59 years later.

Then Prime Minister of Australia Harold Holt was a boisterous and charismatic leader of the country, known and loved for his Aussie pride and also for his active lifestyle. When it came to swimming in the ocean, many have described him as a man of the sea - so why is it that he disappeared on a routine swim, in a spot he was familiar with? If the ocean was rough, why did he go out? And why were there so few eye witnesses, who's reports were so quickly confirmed and believed?
