CM Punk's favor, AEW heads to Dynasty
Andrew Zarian is back with another episode of the Sunday edition of Wrestling Observer Live, talking all the latest news in professional wrestling.
I start off this week talking about Friday Night SmackDown Live from London, as it had a lot of ramifications for Wrestlemania. Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and CM Punk close the show with a contract signing. Paul Heyman tells CM Punk he has his WrestleMania main event, as the match will go on last one of the nights, however, Punk would reveal that was not the favor. I talk about what this means and speculate the many different ways this all plays out.
With the negotiation period for the PPV rights for UFC coming up in a couple of weeks, I talk about the possibility of Netflix or another streaming service getting those rights and pushing ESPN and other mainstream platforms out of live sports in the future.
I also ran down the card for next weekend's AEW Dynasty and the build from Saturday's Collision. I speculate on the end game for the Death Riders story and why the best ending for this will be Moxley retaining and eventually dropping to Will Osprey, possibly at All In.
Plus, Rey Fenix on Smackdown, TNA departures, and more!
