Dr. Andrea McKee is the Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at Mass General Brigham Cancer Center at Wentworth Douglass Hospital, and Chair Emeritus at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center (LHMC). She received her medical degree from the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed her residency in radiation oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she served as chief resident.

Donnita Butler is a DMV resident who is a survivor of Stage 1A2 non-small cell lung cancer. She now champions early lung cancer screening and biomarker testing for Veterans and others at risk. When Donnita learned that her health insurance covered lung cancer screening, she advocated for herself even when her first doctor pushed back. Five years later, a routine low-dose CT scan detected a nodule that was later confirmed as Stage 1A2 adenocarcinoma. Her lymph nodes were clear, and early detection saved her life.

They both join the show to talk about the importance of getting screened for Lung Cancer.

Brett Ashley Robinson is a Philadelphia-based actress and director. She is the director of the play, Blues for an Alabama Sky, at The Lantern Theater Company. This play is a drama set in 1930’s Harlem during the Great Depression, focusing on a group of African-American friends navigating racism, sexism, and economic hardship while holding onto their dreams. The story centers on Angel, a former Cotton Club singer, and her circle, including costume designer Guy, social worker Delia, doctor Sam, and newcomer Leland, exploring themes of love, ambition, and survival through their interconnected lives and conflicting perspectives on issues like family planning.

Brett joins the show to further talk about her role in directing Blues for an Alabama Sky, as well as the plot of the play.
