Gina Moore and Ah-Keisha McCans are from The Revolution School. It is a small innovative high school in Philadelphia whose core academics are taught at the Honors level, and has a project-based model that empowers students to build a portfolio of interest-driven, real-world work that enriches their coursework and adds a personalized, compelling layer to the traditional transcript.

They joined Dr. Peterson to discuss The Revolution School’s values and visions for their Philadelphia students.

Trevor Higgins is the Senior Vice President of the Energy and Environmental Department at the Center for American Progress, with expertise in tackling climate change and environmental justice, clean energy and the Inflation Reduction Act.

Sheriff Rochelle Bilal sworn into a 4-year term to lead the Office of the Sheriff for the city of Philadelphia January of 2020. Sheriff Bilal is the first elected African American woman sheriff in the 343-year history of the Philadelphia Sheriff's Office.

She joined Dr. Peterson to respond to a recent Philadelphia Citizen article, "The Untouchable Sheriff" and discuss the reorganization plan of the Sheriff's Office.

Melissa Boteach is the Chief Policy Officer for ZERO TO THREE, an organization whose mission is to ensure that all babies and toddlers have a strong start in life. Since 1977, they have helped families and professionals better understand the importance of early childhood development.

Clara Busse is a maternal and child health researcher and an advocate for toddler and infant childcare. She spends most of her days producing evidence that policymakers can use to improve the lives of families with young children. This includes advocating for parents to have paid parental leave to help families better care for their children.

On June 9th, families with babies and toddlers will gather on Capitol Hill for the 10th annual Strolling Thunder™ event. Strolling Thunder™ is the signature event of Think Babies™, a ZERO TO THREE initiative dedicated to the well-being of every baby in America. Parents and caregivers will speak with lawmakers on investments in childcare, infant and maternal health, and family economic security, and other programs that support babies in their first years of life.

Melissa and Clara both join the show to further discuss the Strolling Thunder Event, and to discuss why it is important to advocate for health care for toddlers and infants during these current political times.

Ben Tinsley is a French teacher based in Colombia, South America. A teacher of almost 2 decades and a lifelong student, Ben has dedicated his professional and personal life to the pursuit of substantive diversity, equity, and belonging in education. In the classroom, he has had the opportunity to work with teachers and schools around the world to develop curricula that center Black Indigenous Communities of Color and other historically marginalized peoples.

She approaches her work from a psychobiological and intersectional perspective to help folks understand how culture, communication, and chemicals shape our sex lives. She also runs her own practice, Oster Therapy.
