Amina Robinson is a professional actor, award-winning director, and Associate Professor of Acting and Musical Theater at Temple University. She is currently directing an iconic stage play, Romeo and Juliet, which will be on display at The Arden Theatre Company from March 5th to April 5th. Amina joins the show to further discuss her process in directing this play.

Attorney Zamir Ben-Dan is an Associate Professor of Law at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law. He served at the Legal Aid Society in New York, the Bronx Criminal Trial Brace, and the Community Justice Union.

He joined Dr. Peterson for this week's Tuesday Teach-in segment to discuss his three courses he is teaching at Temple. The courses are Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Race and the Law.

Josh Johnson is the Co-Founder of Poppa’s Custard, a proud black-owned, women-owned, family business offering clean-label gourmet pastry creams in both traditional dairy and vegan bases for commercial food service and consumer retail customers.

As a past WURD Radio “Level Up” competition winner, Josh Johnson knows how to level up as an entrepreneur. He joined Dr. Peterson for the Ready, Set, Grow segment on Evening WURDs to share his entrepreneurial journey and advice to small business owners.

Tanisha Bezue is senior program director at Committee of 70, an organization established in 1904 to combat political corruption in Philadelphia. Tanisha spent 13 years teaching middle school social studies and has always had a passion for encouraging active citizenship. She is committed to empowering individuals to participate in the democratic process and has served as a Judge of Elections since 2020.

Today, from 6pm-7pm, the Committee of 70 will be having an online webinar to help communities better understand and engage in the budget process. It will give people a closer look at how decisions are made in both Harrisburg and Philadelphia.

Tanisha joins the show to further discuss the context of the webinar, and to talk about why citizens need to be involved in a city's budget plans to ultimately get the change they'd like to see.

Jalil Meekins is a dedicated advocate for violence prevention and community healing in Philadelphia. Garci is the founder of Carter’s Cheeseteaks by Garci, the first Black-Owned business to be featured in the Chinatown Neighborhood of Philadelphia.

On Feb. 27th, Cheese Steaks by Garci will be hosting a community event at Chinatown Square- 1016 Race Street, where they will be giving food away to over 300 people in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan.
