1944年的圣诞节前夕，纽约一所公立学校的音乐教师Donald Gardner问他二年级班的学生：“圣诞节你们想要什么样的礼物啊？”结果听到了一片咬着舌头的回答，他惊奇地发现，班上几乎所有的学生都至少缺了一颗门牙。于是Gardner灵感突现，在半小时内就写出了这首歌——All I Want for Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth。

Rain

I opened my eyes
And looked up at the rain,
And it dripped in my head
And flowed into my brain,
And all that I hear as I lie in my bed
Is the slishity-slosh of the rain in my head.

I step very softly,
I walk very slow,
I can't do a handstand-
I might overflow,
So pardon the wild crazy thing I just said-
I'm just not the same since there's rain in my head.
