「For He satisfies the longing soul,

　And fills the hungry soul with goodness.」 Amen.　

　I have never experienced hunger or thirst to the point of death, but when I am hungry or thirsty and there is food or drink in front of me, I jump at it. I have hunger and thirst in my soul as well. It is our choice to accept or reject Jesus' "living water" at such times. We want to make a good choice. It will lead us to the good path in life.

　May we follow the Lord's path today..

『まことに主は　渇いたたましいを満ち足らせ

　飢えたたましいを良いもので満たされた。』

　私には、死ぬほどの飢えや渇きを味わった経験はないのですが、お腹がすいている時や喉が渇いている時に目の前に食べ物や飲み物があると飛びつきます。たましいにも飢え渇きがあるのです。そんな時にイエス様の「生ける水」を受け入れるのも拒否するのも私たちの選択にかかっています。良き選択をしたいものです。それが人生の良き道へとつながるのです。

　今日も、主の道を進むことができますように・・・。　

『この苦しみのときに　彼らが【主】に向かって叫ぶと

　主は彼らを苦悩から救い出された。』

　このみ言葉は、この107篇には４回でてきます。人生には苦しみはつきものです。種々雑多な苦しみがあり、その苦しみの度合いもそれぞれ違うことでしょう。真っ暗な井戸の底から空を見上げると、昼間でも星が見えるそうです。周りは真っ暗で何も見えなくても、何にも頼るものがなくなっても、空を見上げることはできるのです。神様に祈ることはできるのです。その時には、きっと一条の光が一滴の恵みが注がれてくることでしょう。

　今日も、主を見上げることができますように・・・。

「Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,

　And He delivered them out of their distresses.」　Amen.　

  This verse appears four times in Psalm 107.Life is full of suffering. There are various kinds of suffering, and the degree of suffering will be different. If you look up at the sky from the bottom of a pitch-black well, you can see the stars even in the daytime.

Even if you can't see anything in the darkness and have nothing to rely on, you can still look up at the sky. You can pray to God. At that moment, a ray of light or a drop of mercy is sure to come pouring in.

  May we be able to look up to the Lord again today...

『8:28 神を愛する人たち、すなわち、神のご計画にしたがって召された人たちのためには、すべてのことがともに働いて益となることを、私たちは知っています。』

神様は良き神様です。私たちの人生を良きもので満たそうとしておられます。あなたの口を大きく開けよ。私がそれを満たそう。神様を信じ、神様を愛する人、神のご計画に従って召された人、そんな人々と神様は共におられ、全てを益としてくださるのです。

お祈り致します。

愛する天のお父様、み名を崇め感謝します。私たちを選び、愛してくださり、救ってくださり、ありがとうございます。あなたはすべてを益に変えてくださる神様ですから感謝します。私たちは、この世を過ごしながら、困難があり、戦いがあり、病がありますが、どんな状況の中にあったとしても、ついには、私たちを幸せにしてくださいますから感謝します。すべてが益に変えられますからありがとうございます。どうか、どんな時でも主に祈りつつ、過ごすことができますようにお導き願います。今日の礼拝を感謝し、主イエスキリストのお名前によってお祈り致します。　アーメン。

「Therefore He said that He would destroy them,

　Had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach,

　To turn away His wrath, lest He destroy them.」　Amen.

　God is both loving and righteous. He always loves us and strict with us in regard to sin.  God said, "I will destroy the people. But Moses desperately interceded and prayed for the people. He pressed his arm against the broken mouth so that God's wrath would not extend to the people. Jesus also gave his life to close the breach. As a result, we are saved and have eternal life.

　May we be thankful for Jesus' love today.　

『それで神は

　「彼らを根絶やしにする」と言われた。

　もし　神に選ばれた人モーセが

　滅ぼそうとする激しい憤りを収めていただくために

　御前の破れに立たなかったなら

　どうなっていたことか。』

神様は、愛なるお方であり、また、義なるお方なのです。どこまでも愛してくださるし、罪に関してはどこまでも厳しいお方なのです。神様は、「民を根絶やしにする」と言われました。しかし、モーセは必死になって、民の為に執り成し、祈りました。破れ口に腕を押し当てて、神の怒りが民衆に及ばないようにしたのです。イエス様もその命を投げ出して、破れ口を塞いだのです。その結果、私たちは救われ、永遠の命を得る事が出来たのです。

今日も、イエス様の愛に感謝できますように・・・。　

「Nevertheless He regarded their affliction,

　When He heard their cry;」　Amen.

　God chose the people of Israel and made a covenant with them. However, the people turned away from God, fell into idolatry, and continued on their selfish ways. They were a people who, to put it bluntly, deserved to be judged. But God's mercy and compassion focused on the suffering of the people and provided a way of salvation. This is also true for us today. God's mercy and compassion were focused on the suffering of the people, and He provided a way of salvation for them.　

　May we thank the Lord for His mercy today....

『それでも　彼らの叫びを聞いたとき

　主は彼らの苦しみに目を留められた。』

　神様は、イスラエルの民を選び、契約を結びました。しかしながら、民衆は、神様から離れ、偶像礼拝に陥り、自分勝手な道を走り続けました。はっきり言って、裁きを受けるしかない民だったのです。でも、神様のあわれみと慈しみは民衆の苦しみに目を留められ、救いの道を備えてくださったのです。これは、今の私たちにも言えることなのです。どうしようもない私たちに目を留められ、救ってくださったのです。　

　今日も、主の憐れみに感謝できますように・・・。

「We have sinned with our fathers,

　We have committed iniquity,We have done wickedly.」　Amen.

　Adam's sin has overshadowed us all. If we remain as we are, we cannot be saved. But since God created us as the object of His love, He has prepared a way of salvation for us. That was the cross of Jesus. By dying on the cross, Jesus, the sinless Son of God, died in our place, and our sins were forgiven. There is no greater love than this.

　May we be thankful for the love of the cross today.
