『3:3 ソロモンは【主】を愛し、父ダビデの掟に歩んでいた。ただし、彼は高き所でいけにえを献げ、香をたいていた。3:4 王はいけにえを献げようとギブオンへ行った。そこが最も重要な高き所だったからである。ソロモンはそこの祭壇の上で千匹の全焼のささげ物を献げた。3:5 ギブオンで【主】は夜の夢のうちにソロモンに現れた。神は仰せられた。「あなたに何を与えようか。願え。」3:6 ソロモンは言った。「あなたは、あなたのしもべ、私の父ダビデに大いなる恵みを施されました。父があなたに対し真実と正義と真心をもって、あなたの御前に歩んだからです。あなたはこの大いなる恵みを父のために保ち、今日のように、その王座に着いている子を彼にお与えになりました。3:7 わが神、【主】よ。今あなたは私の父ダビデに代わって、このしもべを王とされました。しかし私は小さな子どもで、出入りする術を知りません。3:8 そのうえ、しもべは、あなたが選んだあなたの民の中にいます。あまりにも多くて、数えることも調べることもできないほど大勢の民です。3:9 善悪を判断してあなたの民をさばくために、聞き分ける心をしもべに与えてください。さもなければ、だれに、この大勢のあなたの民をさばくことができるでしょうか。」3:10 これは主のみこころにかなった。ソロモンがこのことを願ったからである。3:11 神は彼に仰せられた。「あなたがこのことを願い、自分のために長寿を願わず、自分のために富を願わず、あなたの敵のいのちさえ願わず、むしろ、自分のために正しい訴えを聞き分ける判断力を願ったので、3:12 見よ、わたしはあなたが言ったとおりにする。見よ。わたしはあなたに、知恵と判断の心を与える。あなたより前に、あなたのような者はなく、あなたの後に、あなたのような者は起こらない。3:13 そのうえ、あなたが願わなかったもの、富と誉れもあなたに与える。あなたが生きているかぎり、王たちの中であなたに並ぶ者は一人もいない。3:14 また、あなたの父ダビデが歩んだように、あなたもわたしの掟と命令を守ってわたしの道に歩むなら、あなたの日々を長くしよう。」』

お祈りします。

愛する天のお父様、み名を崇め感謝します。ソロモンが民衆を治める知恵が欲しいと神様に願ったように、私たちに本当に必要なものを神様に祈ることができますようにお導き願います。高慢にならないように、欲望で満ち溢れないように、私たちに定められた分の食糧で養ってくださいますようにお願いします。今日の礼拝を感謝し、主イエス・キリストのお名前によって、お祈り致します。

「He who is surety for a stranger will suffer,

　But one who hates being surety is secure.」Amen.

In several places in the Bible, the commandment "Thou shalt not become a guarantor" appears. It is wise to refuse to be a guarantor. I have been a guarantor for my people and still pay my debts. (Proverbs 22:26) "Do not be one of those who shakes hands in a pledge,One of those who is surety for debts;" Faithfully obeying this word is the safe and secure way.

『他人の保証人になると苦しみにあう。

　保証を嫌う者は安全だ。』

　聖書の中には、「保証人になってはならない」という戒めが数か所、出てきます。保証人になるのを断った方が賢明です。私は身内の保証人となって、今だに借金の返済をしています。「箴22:26 あなたは人と誓約をしてはならない。負債の保証人となってはならない。」このみ言葉を忠実に守るのが、安心安全な道なのです。

　今日も、主の道に從うことができますように・・・。　

「When pride comes, then comes shame;

　But with the humble is wisdom.」Amen.

When we are in a high state of mind, we cannot see what is going on around us. Not only are they blind to their surroundings, but they also refuse to see their own weakness and ugliness. Therefore, they do not see God either. The humble person, on the other hand, has wisdom and is always ready to learn from those around him. They are open to the natural world and to others.

『高ぶりが来れば、辱めも来る。

　知恵はへりくだる者とともにある。』

　人間、高ぶりがあると周りが見えなくなります。周りが見えないばかりではなく、自分の弱さや醜さをも見ようとしなくなります。従って、神も見えてないのです。それに比べて、へりくだる人は、知恵があって、いつも周りから学ぶ姿勢があるのです。自然界にも他の人にも、心が開いているのです。

　今日も、心が開いた一日となりますように・・・。

「In the multitude of words sin is not lacking,

　But he who restrains his lips is wise.」Amen.

 The Bible says that no one controls the tongue. He equipped us with two ears in one mouth to listen rather than speak. It must be embarrassing and embarrassing when what you say is made public. It is better to listen than to speak. And it is the Word of God that we listen to. The best way is to store up the Word of God.

『ことば数が多いところには、背きがつきもの。

　自分の唇を制する者は賢い人。』

舌を制する人は誰もいない、と聖書に書かれています。喋るよりも聞けと一つの口に二つの耳を備えてくださいました。自分が言ったことが公開されると恥ずかしくなって、いたたまれないことでしょう。語るよりも聞けという事です。そして、聞くのは神の言葉なのです。神の言葉を蓄えることが一番の道なのです。

今日も、主の言葉に耳を傾けることができますように・・・。　

「The labor of the righteous leads to life,

　The wages of the wicked to sin.」Amen.

The "righteous" in the Bible are those who believe in God and live accordingly. And the "wicked" are those who do not know or deny God. It does not mean good people or bad people. 『正しい人の報酬はいのち。

　悪しき者の収穫は罪。』

　聖書に言う「正しい人」とは、神様を信じ、それに従って生きている人の事です。また、「悪しき者」とは、神様を知らない人、否む人のことです。善人や悪人の意味ではありません。従って、ここで教えられているのは、神様を信じて歩んでいくと、その先には命の道が備えられているという事なのです。逆に、神様を否んでいくと、その先は罪の世界の中でもがくこととなるのです。

　今日も、主の道を歩むことができますように・・・。　

「Hatred stirs up strife,

　But love covers all sins.」Amen.

There is a marked difference in the behavior of those who have hatred in their hearts and those who have love in their hearts. And at the end of the day, that difference can be the difference between life and death. Hate leads to destruction, lack of calm judgment, escalation and loss of brakes. We are free to choose between hate and love, but the outcome is clearly different.
