「Then you will understand the fear of the Lord,

　And find the knowledge of God.」　Amen.

Knowing and finding God is the greatest harvest in life. Life is a series of choices. There are always two paths before us. The Word of God is the criterion by which we choose. The happiest life is the life spent in the love of God, who created the heavens, created the earth, and is in control of everything.

『そのとき、あなたは【主】を恐れることをわきまえ知り、

　神を知ることを見出すようになる。』

  神を知ること、見出すことが、人生における最大の収穫なのです。人生は選択の連続です。私たちの目の前には、いつも二つの道があります。どちらを選ぶかの判断基準となるのが、神のみ言葉なのです。天を造り、地を造り、全てを支配されている神様の愛の中で過していく人生が一番幸せな人生なのです。

　今日も、主と共に歩むことができますように・・・。

「If you seek her as silver,

　And search for her as for hidden treasures;」　Amen.

It means to search for God's enlightenment or wisdom like silver, like hidden treasure. Finding God is compared to digging for silver. In the past, silver was more valuable than gold. There are many vestiges of this in the names "Ginza" and "Bank"　 Silver was the deciding factor in the economy. The deciding factor in life is God.

　May we find God in our hearts today....

『銀のように、これを探し、

　隠された宝のように探り出すなら、』

　神の悟りや英知を銀のように、隠された宝のように探しなさいという事なのです。神を見出す事を銀を掘り当てることにたとえています。昔は金よりも銀の方が重宝されていたようです。「銀座」や「銀行」という名前の中にその名残が数多く残されています。経済の決め手は銀でした。人生の決め手は神なのです。

　今日も、心の中に神を見出すことができますように・・・。　

「So that you incline your ear to wisdom,

　And apply your heart to understanding;」Amen.

They tell us to keep God's wisdom and understanding at the center of our hearts. This is the key to success in life. If we live only for our own desires, even if we gain wealth, power, and honor, it will be a worthless life. The purpose of life is to know what we were born for, how we live, and where we are going. It is to be born to know God, to live for His glory, and to go toward His Kingdom.

『あなたの耳を知恵に傾け、

　心を英知に向けるなら、』

　神様の知恵や英知を心の中心に置きなさいと言うことなのです。それが人生成功の鍵だと言われるのです。自己の欲望の為だけに生きると、たとえ富を得たとしても、力を得たとしても、誉れを得たとしても、価値のない人生となってしまうのです。何の為に生まれ、どのように生き、何処へ行くのかを知ることこそが人生の目的なのです。それは、神を知るために生まれ、神の栄光の為に生き、神の国へと向かって行くことなのです。

　今日も、主の知恵に心を傾けることができますように・・・。

「But whoever listens to me will dwell safely,

　And will be secure, without fear of evil.」Amen.

It is a joyful thing to live each day with a peaceful heart. However, in life, there are many events that can disrupt that peace. The peace that comes from God is based on the assurance that our sins are forgiven and eternal life is given to us. This peace is unshakeable, no matter what happens.(John 14:27) "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

『しかし、わたしに聞き従う者は、安全に住み、

　わざわいを恐れることなく、安らかである。』

　毎日を平安な気持ちで過ごしたら幸せなことです。しかしながら、人生はその平安を覆す出来事が多々やってくるのです。神様からくる平安、それは、自分の罪が赦された、永遠の命が与えられたという根拠のある平安なのです。そして、この平安は何があっても揺らぐことはないのです。「ヨハ14:27 わたしはあなたがたに平安を残します。わたしの平安を与えます。わたしは、世が与えるのと同じようには与えません。あなたがたは心を騒がせてはなりません。ひるんではなりません。」

『おまえたちはわたしの忠告をすべてなおざりにし、

　わたしの叱責を一つも受け入れなかった。』

　２４節と同じような内容となっています。神様の言葉を聞いて、すぐに從う人、従わない人が出てきます。神様の存在を認める人、認めない人がいます。神様を求め続けていくと、必ず神様に出会うはずです。自分の思いを求め続けていくと、自分の望みはかなうかもしれませんが、心の虚しさは埋めることができないのです。

　今日も、主のみ言葉に思いを馳せることができますように・・・。　

「Because you disdained all my counsel,

　And would have none of my rebuke,」　Amen.

The content is similar to verse 24. There will be those who hear God's word and immediately obey and those who do not. There will be those who recognize God's existence and those who do not. If you continue to seek God, you will surely encounter Him. If we continue to seek our own thoughts, we may get what we want, but we cannot fill the emptiness in our hearts.
