Mit viel Elan startet der liebe Andreas in den Spätsommer und hoffentlich seid ihr Fans ebenso motiviert, Euch in diese 352. Episode hineinzustürzen - denn es gibt viel zu entdecken, zum Beispiel einen unfreiwilligen Themenschwerpunkt, denn sechs der acht podsafen Tracks stammen aus Ländern, die rund um die Ostsee liegen! Die "XL-Summer-Special Trilogie 2021" steht kurz vor dem Abschluss - heute, am 01. August! Bevor der liebe Andreas in die wohlverdiente Sommerfrische aufbricht, hinterläßt er Euch treuen Fans eine ganz besondere Episode 351 - denn er überläßt die Kontrolle heute einem einzigen Gast! Leonardo Patrizi gehört mit seinem Projekt "Dott. Santafeo" seit Episode 318 zur "XtraChill"-Künstlerfamilie und der talentierte Italiener hat für diese Sonderfolge zwölf seiner eigenen Tracks zu einem langen, durchgehenden DJ-Set zusammengemixt. Zwar ist keins der Stücke exklusiv für "XtraChill" entstanden, trotzdem erklingt das fast 70-minütige Set heute zum ersten Mal - als Weltpremiere! The "XL Summer Special Trilogy 2021" is about to end - today, on August 1st! Before dear Andreas leaves for the well-deserved summer vacation, he leaves you loyal fans with a very special episode 351 - because he leaves the control to a single guest today! Leonardo Patrizi's project "Dott. Santafeo" has been part of the "XtraChill" family of artists since episode 318 and the talented Italian has mixed twelve of his own tracks into a long, continuous DJ set for this special episode. Liebste Hörerschaft! Diese 350. Ausgabe von "XtraChill" ist aus vielen Gründen etwas ganz besonderes - und das halbrunde Episodenjubiläum ist nur eins von vielen Highlights. Zum ersten Mal seit dem Relaunch dieses Podcasts im Sommer 2016 entstand eine Podcastfolge nicht im heimischen Studio, sondern wurde an einem anderen Ort produziert. Denn eigentlich sollte heute, am 15. Juli 2021, das große Hörerwunschkonzert stattfinden - aber leider hat sich nur ein (!) Hörer aufgerafft, einen Musikwunsch einzusenden. Tja - was tun? Glücklicherweise hat Plan B funktioniert, denn mein lieber Neffe und Podcastpraktikant Michel ist in die Bresche gesprungen und hat aus einem Pool von 40 Tracks seine 13 Favoriten ausgewählt. Und nicht nur das: er hat auch die Reihenfolge seiner Playliste festgelegt, ein schönes Themenbild diesen zweiten Teil der "XL-Summer-Special-Trilogie" fotografiert und sein Kinderzimmer für die Aufnahme zur Verfügung gestellt - wo glücklicherweise Andreas' alter iMac ein neues zuhause gefunden hat, der viele Jahre für "XtraChill" genutzt wurde. Also musste der liebe Andreas nur das Mikro einpacken und nach Bonn radeln, damit Michels Rettungsaktion gelingen konnte. Vielen Dank an dieser Stelle auch an Stammhörer Roland, dessen Musikwunsch ebenfalls im Set berücksichtigt wurde.

Dearest audience! This 350th edition of "XtraChill" is something very special for many reasons - and the semicircular episode anniversary is just one of many highlights. For the first time since the relaunch of this podcast in summer 2016, a podcast episode was not created in the home studio, but was produced in another location. Because actually today, on July 15th, 2021, the big listener request concert was supposed to take place - but unfortunately only one (!) listener has managed to send in a music request. Well - what to do? Fortunately, Plan B worked, because my dear nephew and podcast intern Michel stepped into the breach and selected his 13 favorites from a pool of 40 tracks. And not only that: he also determined the order of his playlist, photographed a beautiful themed picture for this second part of the "XL Summer Special Trilogy" and made his children's room available for the recording - where fortunately Andreas' old iMac has a new home which has been used for "XtraChill" for many years. So dear Andreas just had to pack the microphone and cycle to Bonn so that Michel's rescue operation could succeed. Many thanks at this point also to regular listener Roland, whose music request was also taken into account in the set.

Für die erste Sommerfolge hat sich der liebe Andreas eines Konzepts bedient, das er in den vergangenen Jahren für das heutige Datum - in der Mitte des Kalenderjahres - entwickelt hatte: das Bergfest! Wir schauen zurück auf das erste Halbjahr und im Gegensatz zum letzten Mal treten heute nur Künstler und Projekte auf, die ihr Debüt in den vergangenen sechs Monaten bei "XtraChill" gegeben haben. After seven years, summer is finally starting again with an "XL Summer Special Trilogy"! Fans who have been listening to this podcast at least since 2014 may still remember that Andreas and Jürgen reserved the three episodes for three long themed episodes before the four-week summer break - and this beautiful tradition shall revive today, on July 1st, 2021, with episode 349. For the first summer episode, dear Andreas used a concept that he had developed over the past few years for today's date in the middle of the calendar year: the Bergfest! The early summer is finally taking off - it was about time, wasn't it? Today, on June 1st 2021, we are indulging not only in the sunny weather but also in the steadily falling incidences in Germany! At the center of episode 347 are two "Threesomes" from the chillout and deep chillout area. The two sets are flanked by lo-fi downtempo pop at the beginning and a short visit to the dub or minimal techno sector at the end. "XtraChill" receives strong support today from the labels "MOR Records" and "Drift Deeper Recordings" - and after a long time the platform "Jamendo.com" is also contributing music to the show again. Zum fünfzehnten Mal jährt sich heute, am 15. Mai 2021, die Geburtsstunde meines kleinen Musikpodcasts! Leider fällt auch in diesem Jahr die Partystimmung der Pandemie zum Opfer - aber der liebe Andreas läßt sich davon nicht runterziehen und feiert trotzdem! Denn im virtuellen Raum spielen Inzidenzen keine Rolle. Und so dürfen sich in dieser ganz besondere Episode vierzehn Gäste mit ihrer Musik im Podcast-Studio knubbeln. Allein das ist schon was besonderes, darüber hinaus ist die Aufteilung der Tracks heute anders als sonst und es gibt noch ein spezielles Goodie obendrauf: diese 346. Episode von "XtraChill" wird zum ersten Mal mit einer höheren Bitrate von 192 kBit produziert!

ACHTUNG: Aufruf zur Mitarbeit! Für den Sommer ist eine Neuauflage der "XL-Summer-Special-Trilogie" geplant und eine der drei Folgen soll von Euch Hörern gestaltet werden. Schreib eine eMail mit Eurem favorisierten "XtraChill"-Künstler und benennt ein podsafes Stück, das ihr gerne in der Show hören möchtet. Gerne dürft ihr auch eine kleine Moderation (auf Deutsch oder Englisch) mitschicken und den Track selbst ansagen. Anmeldeschluss ist der 15. Juni 2021!

Today, on May 15th, 2021, it will be the fifteenth anniversary of the birth of my little music podcast! Unfortunately, the party atmosphere is also falling victim to the pandemic this year - but dear Andreas does not allow himself to be dragged down and still celebrates! Because incidences do not play a role in virtual space. And so, in this very special episode, fourteen guests will bump up with their music in the podcast studio. That alone is something special, in addition, the division of the tracks is different today than usual and there is a special goodie on top: this 346th episode of "XtraChill" is being produced for the first time with a higher bit rate of 192 kBit!
