Today, on May 15, 2022, the "XtraChill" podcast celebrates its 16th anniversary! This year, too, the jubilant episode is restrained, after the almost endless pandemic, the saber-rattling before the war in winter and the outbreak of the same in February, I would like to give you fans something else to think about with an escapist ambient special - because like no other genre of Electronica promises pure ambient relaxation! Dear Andreas has put together seven of the eight tracks into a long set, and there's an XL bouncer on top of that. Enjoy the journey to the small ambient island in the ocean of everyday life!

The trees are blooming, the bees are buzzing, the rapeseed fields are forming yellow rectangles in the landscape - it's definitely spring! Unfortunately, today's public holiday falls on a Sunday - so you can only support the political initiative that wants to enforce that public holidays that fall on a weekend have to be shifted to the following week - this has been the case in other countries for a long time! It remains to be seen whether we will experience this in Germany. After all, "XtraChill" also appears on all weekdays and public holidays - including May 1st, 2022. Episode 368 again delivers a lot of great audio material from the electronica sector, among other things joyfully combined into two "threesomes" - according to the merry month!

Spring is colorful - if it doesn't disappear under a blanket of snow, as it happened here in the Rhineland two weeks ago. Enjoy the little break on today's holiday!
Let's go into spring, which has just gotten a little damper here in the Rhineland, today, on April 1st, 2022. This 366th episode of "XtraChill" takes us around the world - and even into the depths of space. But dear Andreas can't avoid the Ukraine conflict either, at least the occasion is positive, because the net label "Insectorama" is supporting an artist from near Kyiv with a current release - also financially. An example that will hopefully catch on!

This 365th episode of "XtraChill" is dedicated to my grandmother Katharina Schneider who passed away on February 21st at the age of 100 years and three months. And this bereavement also allows dear Andreas to make a personal statement about the war in Ukraine.
In addition to these sad events, the current episode of today, on March 15th, 2022, is also about music - because despite all the political upheaval, this podcast is primarily there to give its listeners a break twice a month - in these difficult times that's more important than ever. Let yourself be carried away into new, podsafe Electronica worlds, which will hopefully ensure that you can switch off in the usual classy way - even if it's only for an hour!

Today, on February 15, 2022, dear Andreas is about to go on his annual "carnival escape", which this year - thanks to the pandemic! - is more of a "non-carnival escape", because the hustle and bustle in the Rhenish carnival strongholds will be significantly reduced. Before your host sets off for the coast of Zeeland, he'll quickly provide you fans with this 363. episode of "XtraChill", which will counteract the winter cold with two hot "Threesomes" among other things!

Frohes Neues Jahr - Happy New Year!
Tja, ihr Lieben - was soll man sagen?
Well, dear ones - what can you say? Today, on New Year's Day 2022, we are starting another circle around our central star and we all hope that this will herald the last circle with the Covid19 pandemic! For dear Andreas, the year 2021 was rather forgettable - if it didn't regularly have had the opportunity to dive into the depths of the digital electronica worlds for "XtraChill". Because this regular distraction made everyday life bearable - hopefully for you fans too! 2022 will start again with an "XtraChill New Year's Concert", this time only with debutants from the past calendar year. Sit back and enjoy the best of free downtempo electronica that 2021 had to offer.
