This week, Ho Ching shared a blogpost that defended her husband’s (i.e. PM Lee) salary. We are less annoyed about her post than we are about the ridiculous BLOGPOST by Seedly, a local finance startup. In other news, SG Minister Masagos Zulkifli says Elon Musk’s Tesla cars are more about “lifestyle” than climate change. He also blamed the “lack of parking lots” in SG as a reason why we can’t have more EV cars. Why???

This week, a leaked video of fully-grown adult NTU students chanting a cheer about “Kukubirds” (slang for penis) went viral. They also performed lewd gestures and one too many thrusts of their hips. It’s weird. But more importantly, WHY?? Or is there an unspoken benefit to such “bonding” events? In this overly sexualized week, we also cover Singapore’s first “panty-sniffing influencer” who posted explicit pictures of his escapades with other people’s underwear. Along with his face. Again...WHY??

Every 9 Aug, the biggest clusterfuck of patriotism happens in Singapore - the National Day Parade. With millions of dollars spent and countless weekends burnt by people of all ages, shapes and sizes, is it just a big, fat waste? Or does it actually make people feel more patriotic? Or just nicer to each other? That’s probably what one SG lady feels after she messaged her “number neighbour” following a trend that went viral on Twitter. Unfortunately, she just got threatened with the police. HAH.

RACISM has been THE topic of discussion this past week in Singapore, and it’s ridiculous how things have snowballed into such a shitshow.
