We may be making a huge mistake by not "picking a lane" for our podcast. One week we have a baseball coach, the next week a published true crime writer... sometimes it is just Lisa and I shooting the breeze with our good friend Aaron. This week, we decided to use our forum for a movie reviews. When talking about which films to break down, we decided on the three films we actually risked our lives to see during the pandemic. We LOVE going to the movies and are really excited to be able to hit the theatres again without restrictions, but in the cases of "Kajillionaire", "A Promising Young Woman" and "Nobody" we can honestly say helped keep popcorn popping at some of our local haunts, at least in some small way. We came away with positive impressions of all three films, but you will see how they rank as you listen to this episode.

You're going to get a whole lot of baseball in this episode, so if you don't like the game you might want to ride the pine for this one. Our friend Bill Allen reports in from South Carolina, where he has been splitting duties as a Social Studies teacher and head baseball coach for 23 years. Bill is a very charismatic figure who can both startle and entertain an entire room all by himself, but in the chatlab Lisa and I attempt to hold our own with the man nicknamed "Satan" by his friends. Aaron joins us for the second half of the show, when a serious discussion about education, bullying and the role of parents in their childs' lives devolves into a free for all discussing our Roto league, the legendary NRBL. Bill was another great guest and we really enjoyed this!
It took a couple of weeks to get our distinguished guest on the show, but it was well worth it to get a chance to talk with local historian/true crime writer JT Townsend. JT has been busy the last couple of years working on the famous Bridgetown Bricca Family murders, culminating the release of his latest book, "Summer's Almost Gone". We certainly wanted to touch on the Briccas, but we were also interested in several other cases, both local and abroad, that our guest has worked on in his career. JT is the regional auhtority on many famous cases, such as Lizzy Borden, Jack The Ripper, The Lindberg kidnapping and murder, Jon Benet Ramsey and many others that we review in this fascinating episode. In retrospect, we could probably frame an entire episode around any one of these topics and still leave much to investigate. We hope to have JT back on for future visits to do just that, but until then here is an introduction to the fascinating world of armchair sleuth, JT Townsend!
Note: If you want to hear the dulcet tones of JT singing a song please listen through the outtro! :). Please visit the links below to purchase his books. They are addictive!

To this day, whenever Phillip and I come across an episode of MASH while channel surfering, we just HAVE to stop and watch. We have seen every one, but somehow a joke we had fogotten or a character that had faded into the past resurfaces. Phillip will never fail to ask me what the episode "is" during the opening credits, when noone could possibly know. He's pretty funny like that. We don't break this down by favorite episodes or a "top 10". We just kind of let it roll...
Lou Diamond comes to us all the way from beautiful Northern KY. If you have never heard of Lou, you may just now not have known it as he has been involved in the local music scene for years, a very skilled drummer with a soft spot for Peter Cterra and Leo Sayer! In addition, Lou has been involved in WLW broadcasts with Gary Jeff Walker and Andy Fuhrman, among others. Aaron dropped by the chat lab as well to do his best Ed McMahon to Lisa's incredible Vanna White. We really had a great time with Lou Diamond and his roommate, "Cowboy" Jeff Brantley!
This week one of our best friends, Aaron Leckinger, reports in from LA. Aaron and Phil go way back to 7th grade, and we catch up with the California convert. We discuss, among other things, "The Dude" and Jeff Bridges, his life in Hollywood, the skeleton in our closet, Norwood High School and old friends. Who's next?
In our first episode Phillip and I talk about what we want to do with our brand new podcast. We were kicking around the idea of calling it "The Chat Lab" until we found out there were hundreds of pods with that name. So, we settled on "Yeah-Uh-Huh", a homage to a phrase I use frequently to emphasize my approval. To give you perspective, when the preacher said "do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband", my reply was "Yeah-Uh-Huh". So THAT'S why the name :). We hope you enjoy. We may be asking you to join us soon, so pay attention! :)
