Baffling. The only word that can be used to describe the 2025 Atlanta Braves’ season. The unbelievably bad start buy the offense was merely the tip of the iceberg. The opening day rotation eventually ended up on, and are currently on, the 60-day IL for various reasons. That in of itself is almost incomprehensible. Now, Ronald Acuña Jr. is hurt again, this time an Achilles. Ronald will be back in Atlanta this week to get an MRI, but was seen in a boot after Tuesday’s game vs the Kansas City Royals. This was only precautionary (we hope), but Acuña Jr was already placed on the 10-day IL by the team. Hopefully the news comes back positive, but even with positive news, we may have seen the last of Ronald Acuña Jr. for the 2025 season. Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael explore the Acuña Jr. injury a bit further, and what the outlook for the rest of 2025 may look like.
