Happy Dolly Parton Day!!! ----more----
This is one of those days when the people didn't ask for permission; they just collectively decided. A legend died, and we gave her a day. ----more----
And on this day, we are talking about the gifts she gave us and why we want to be like her. Spoiler: it has nothing to do with being a musician or performer and everything to do with the amazing confidence Dolly had. ----more----

Is there a war going on that no one can see? A fight under your calm, put-together exterior? Perhaps a fight with yourself to like yourself? ----more----
This week, we are getting a little serious. Brave requires being a little serious at times and addressing the hard. What if I told you that you don't have to hate you? True story. It is a big fat lie that you have to hate or loathe yourself. It doesn't make you better; it just makes life less pleasant. ----more----
So join me as we reclaim some peace and freedom from self-loathing, put down the fight underneath, and tap into that amazing power. ----more----

How good are you at resting? Be honest. I realized recently, during a massage, that I was not as good as I would like. It made me ask why. ----more----
Then I realized it was because I simply was not giving rest any attention. We cannot be good as something if we never do it. ----more----
So today is not just talking about rest but actually spending a few moments doing. Yes, some real-life practice of rest. Join me and get better at downtime. ----more----

When we hear stories of courage, they are big, bold, and loud. And it can make us feel a little wanting. More often, though, our moments of brave are small and quiet. They happen without any fanfare or notice. No one captures for posterity. No one claps. There are no parades. ----more----
But these small moments are still beyond brave. They are what define us and push us to do and be more of who we want. Those small actions in those small moments take the most courage. ----more----
Today we are taking the really big, small, brave. The unsexy little things that get us what we are working toward. Breathe. Just Breathe. Calmly panic. Breathe some more. Conquer the mountain. ----more----

We all want to be happy, right? But how much time do we spend actually being happy? ----more----
This week, the challenge is to sit in our joy and truly feel it. And to practice experiencing the good things around us. We get really great at managing the hard in our lives, that we often neglect the good. ----more----
If we want more good, we need to give it at least equal time in our day. So let's be happy. ----more----

Human relationships are hard. And complex. Today, we explore the importance of courage in finding our way back to them after periods of withdrawal. Because we all get hurt and run away.
----more----
However, when we find our way back to brave and allow others into our lives again, we can find joy, so much joy. Opening ourselves up for disappointment is not easy, but it also means we open up for connections. Meaningful connections that bring the greatest meaning and happiness. ----more----
Remember, you are worth the time and effort. You matter. ----more----
