About our guest of today:
I’m Alex, and my path toward holistic movement began with calisthenics. However, this journey wasn’t without its obstacles; I encountered injuries, many stemming from inflexibility. It was during one serendipitous night that I stumbled upon yoga, and from that moment, my life was forever changed.
I dove headfirst into yoga practice, embarking on a journey of self-discovery and healing. In 2017, I completed my 200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in the serene landscapes of Rishikesh, India. Yet, despite immersing myself in Ashtanga yoga for several years thereafter, I found myself yearning for something more.
The repetitive nature of my practice left me feeling unfulfilled, and my injuries persisted. Seeking a new approach, I began to integrate strength-based training elements into my yoga routines. It wasn’t until I crossed paths with Circus Artist Alexander Batuev that everything clicked into place.
Under Batuev’s guidance, I learned the art of balancing strength and flexibility effectively. With renewed vigor, I returned to Hatha Yoga, determined to mold it to fit those needs. Thus, NeoHatha was born—a modernized, more effective and most importantly: more enjoyable iteration of traditional Hatha Yoga.
NeoHatha isn’t just about stretching the body; it’s about pushing boundaries and unlocking untapped potential. Through a fusion of strength, flexibility, and mindfulness, practitioners are empowered to transcend physical limitations and achieve true holistic wellness.
Join me on this transformative journey as we explore the limitless possibilities of NeoHatha—a practice that goes beyond the mat, guiding us toward a harmonious union of body, mind, and spirit.
Marv is practicing for over eight years. While he was traveling the world he practiced with some of the greates teachers in the States, Latin America, Europe, Bali & India. First in touch with a modern mobility and science based approach from the West he went several times to India to root his progressive Vinyasa style in traditional Ashtanga and Iyengar Yoga.
He is focusing on helping yogis and beginner yoga teachers to advance their practice with arm-balances & floats.
