Welcome to the first installment of an extension of the Yoga to Cope podcast. This series is called "Tough Women, Tough Stories" and will spotlight strong, vibrant, tough women in and around my life who have been through some truly challenging, life-changing, tough things in life thus far. I'm excited for you to meet these tough women, and hear their tough stories.
Today, we meet my dear friend Nicole Bissey, a Kansas City-based professional photographer who recently lost her mom unexpectedly. She also pursued a long-time-coming divorce, and experienced a breakup and COVID all in the last year's time. She shares her experience with and opinion of yoga and how it's played into her life, why, how, and when she finally pursued a divorce she had been pondering, the story of realizing her mom had died, and the grief journey she's been on ever since. It was a pleasure to hear from my friend, and hope you will leave this conversation feeling inspired by her strength and outlook, despite being recently dealt some of the most difficult hands life can deal out.
