Ocala Mayor Kent Guinn visited us in the studio on March 30, 2016 to talk to us about local events that were part of Holocaust Remembrance Week.

In 2003 Michael McDonald called AM Ocala Live to promote his current CD "Motown." This archive was captured on audio cassette and so there is a noticeable hiss but the great conversation with Michael makes up for the poor audio quality. Hope you enjoy it. 

The Ocala Civic Theatre has, for decades, been one of Ocala's most important venues for quality stage performances. Fred Mullen and Randall Moring are two of the actors who have graced that stage for many years and they were in the studios of WOCA The Source to promote the play "The Fantasticks."

Musician, composer, and TV personality John Tesh called in to AM Ocala Live on November 22, 2013 to speak to us about his music, his life, and his desire to play the jaw harp.

Nevada brothel owner and reality TV star Dennis Hof called in to AM Ocala Live on April 2, 2015 to talk about his feelings about prostitution and to promote his book titled "The Art Of The Pimp."

Actor Phil Proctor feels like a friend to us. While many guests have made multiple appearances on our show there are a few that we have connected with. Phil Proctor is one of those few. Maybe it's because we were familiar with his work in Firesign Theater (the "Beatles" of comedy), or maybe it's because he cleaned up Bruce Willis' "not-safe-for-broadcast" famous line in his 'Die Hard' movies (Yippee Ki Yay Mr. Falcon), or maybe it's because he is the voice of Baron von Roth in the amazing audiobook "Battlefield Earth" by L. Ron Hubbard. Whatever the reason, Phil is our friend and it is an honor to include one of our interviews with him in our "Best Of" collection.

Talk show host, Montel Williams, and NFL great Marvin Washington called in to AM Ocala Live on September 1, 2016 to speak to us about a campaign they were a part of that addresses the issue of sports related concussions and traumatic brain injuries.

Singer Debby Boone was our guest on AM Ocala Live on August 28, 2017. Debby was catapulted to fame in 1977 when she recorded the song "You Light Up My Life." In this interview we spoke about how that song changed her life and her career. We also spoke about her famous father, Pat Boone, and about the songwriter of "You Light Up My Life," Joe Brooks.

Our guest on September 22, 2016 was New York firefighter James McCauley. James told us about Keith Roma. Keith was one of James' colleagues with the New York Fire Patrol who responded to the attacks on the World Trade Center Twin Towers on September 11, 2001. Mr. Roma died in the collapse of the towers and is credited with saving the lives of hundreds of people escaping the towers. But, because he was with the Fire Patrol and not the Fire Department he is not included in the official number of lost firefighters.

Our in-studio guest on April 13, 2018 was the Honorable Clifford B. Stearns who served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Florida's 6th congressional district from 1989 to 2013. Mr. Stearns spoke about his time in Congress, his life, and his book titled, "Life In The Marble Palace: In Praise Of Folly."
