Author and newspaper columnist Dave Barry called in to AM Ocala Live on February 4, 2013 and spoke to us about his new book titled "Insane City."

Ocala Star Banner Photojournalist Dave Schlenker visited us in the studios of WOCA at our invitation on March 20, 2017. Dave had nothing to promote. We cross paths with Dave frequently because of being in the media but it seems we never really get to know each other. So this interview was special because it was simply three people getting to know each other with no agenda. 

Country Music star Clay Walker called in to the studio to talk to us about his music, his family, and his Multiple Sclerosis. This interview took place on November 16, 2017. We kidded Clay about People Magazine naming Blake Shelton as the Sexiest Man Alive.

Author Delia Ephron has appeared on AM Ocala Live many times and has become a friend whom we've never met in person. As with all friends, we are comfortable when visiting with Delia and that friendship is apparent in this interview. Delia was on the show to speak about her book titled "Siracusa."

The Virginia Military Institute Glee Club joined us in the studio on March 13, 2013. We were treated to some live singing and were even able to get Dan Martone to join in the singing for a round of "Row Row Row Your Boat."

Artist Peter Max was our guest on September 11, 2008. Peter spoke to us about his art and his contributions to the families of the fallen firefighters from the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. In September 2006, just prior to the fifth anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001, we spoke to Lieutenant William Keegan Jr. with the Port Authority Police Department. Parts of this interview became regular segments on September 11th anniversaries for years to come. Lt. Keegan was talking about the events of that day and of the book he wrote titled, "Closure." We interviewed the legendary Joe Franklin sometime around 2005 (the date is not clear). It was an amazing interview. We had worked out a schedule to speak to Mr. Franklin and his publicist said we could only speak for 10 or 15 minutes but, because we were all enjoying the conversation so much, we ending up speaking nearly a half hour. This interview with Art Linkletter and Mark Victor Hansen took place by phone in August 2006. They were promoting a book they had co-authored titled "How To Make The Rest Of Your Life The Best Of Your Life." Larry's mother, Helga Whitler, was in the studio and spoke to Art Linkletter to tell him how Larry got his name because of a child named Larry who appeared on Art Linkletter's old TV show.
