we introduce you to yer new favourite festival band, Vibrant Rebels. by giving an exclusive first play of their first ever recordings during their first ever podcast interview. They are a 10 piece battlaion of funk, soul, hip hop and ska and played their debut gig at Leith Arches this week. I have been a fan of their work from previous monikers and the new material has blown me away. Expect big things, you literally heard them here first. We disuss the logistical nightmare of having so many band members, how the dawn of A.I music could be a good thing for average looking and badly produced artists, Oz talks about his experience of moving from backing tracks to full brass section, there is discussions about A.I, Russell Brand, toxic positivity, tiny microphones, mysterious drummers, robot effigys , finding another word for short term content, the death of the album, how to break into the festival scene and much, much more. Their next gig is is at East Linton Community Hall on June 6th. Tom Hingley settles scores, spills beans and burns bridges in an explosive interview in what is meant to be a relatively drama-free podcast. we chat for 10 mins or so then I ask one question and the rest of the show is his answer. Tom is the former singer of Inspiral Carpets who once boasted Noel Gallagher as their roadie and had massive hits such as 'This is How it Feels', 'Draggin Me Down' and 'Saturn 5' during the height of the Madchester era. He performs as a solo artist with King Tuts on May 11th as the next Glasgow show and also performs some of the old classics with his band The Kar-Pets . Last time Tom was on the show we had two hours of politics. This time it is an hour of band politics.
