Bought this for my grandson!

Still My Favorite

I have loved the Uncle Remus stories since I was a small child. To have all of his stories in one book is phenominal. I have several other Brer Rabbit books but they don't have the Uncle remus dialect. This will remain in my keeping for the rest of my life. I love it.

Sweet Story that will Stimulate Good Discussions!

"The Wish" is a story told by a little rock who thought the she was dull and wished that she was a star instead. Over the course of this 49-page book, the little rock comes to realize the blessings of the relationships and the ordinary things that we all take for granted along our life's journey; and in the process, the little rock comes to undrrstand that she has value and is precious herself. This sweet book with its colorful illustrations will stimulate good discussions about values, self-worth, being content, and recognizing the blessings that we have been given.

Journey with little rock - great read for kids or adults

Loved reading the story. As adults sometimes we believe the grass is greener on the other side of the paddock and this story reminded me that life is always changing and it can be perfect no matter where we are. A wonderful message for any child or adult with beautiful illustrations to enjoy every step of the story. Playfully connecting with nature the story encourages self acceptance and connection. Has a few words like "Eons" that can help to expand your child's vocabulary and plenty to stimulate playful imagination. Enjoyed it! thanks

What a great story!! My 9 year old son really liked this story. I enjoyed reading it to him. The actual books illustrations are way more colorful then the digital version also. What a blessing!!

Sweet Story

The softly painted pictures of stars, sky, animals, trees and our tiny rock elevate the book to a different level. It is a small book and the moment I finished reading it, I fell in love with it. I have to say, this book feels like a keeper. Save it and gift this to your children and grandchildren. They all will have as much fun and learn something from it as I did. Even if you keep this on your shelf, I think you will pick this from time to time and re-read it. The message is simple and straightforward and it just gets to you. I am excited and happy that I got to read this book. You donât have to be a parent to read this one. This book wonât hurt the religious sentiments of anyone. By that I mean, irrespective of the level of faith you have, you wonât be offended by the message in the book. Because, at the end of the day this isnât a religious message. But it is more like a good moral to try and live happy.

Wonderful book for children! I received this book a few years ago when my children were 3 and 4 years old, and they and I loved it! Now that my children are a little older it is still a wonderful book to read to them. The book follows an adorable story line and teaches a wonder message to kids to not give up on your dreams, even when others tell you they may not be possible.
