Publisher's Summary:
Born in Stockton-on-Tees with cerebral palsy, Susan Bennett, throughout her early life, was constantly told she wouldn't be able to walk, talk properly, move properly, swim, hold a job down, or live a normal life - "whatever that is," says Susan. As she grew, Susan needed to prove this was not the case. Not to herself, you understand, because she always knew she would be able to do these things, but to those in the medical and educational fraternity and other doubters.
This audiobook demonstrates Susan's steely resolve to overcome all of life's obstacles, some physical and some emotional and some quite devastating. The book reflects Susan's feelings of cherishing what you have and not worrying about what you don't have, all with a happy demeanor. One by one the can'ts are ticked off as done.
Susan says: If anyone gets a modicum of motivation from reading this book, then it has been worthwhile.

This book was immensely inspiring and I enjoyed it from the first page to the last
This book was immensely inspiring and I enjoyed it from the first page to the last! The author is a beautiful example to anyone that suffers with a disability that no matter what obstacles you have in your life, they can be overcome with enough determination, support and faith. I loved the story that was presented and how much her family helped her to become everything she was capable of being- in other words, the sky was her limit! She was a true free spirit and I saw how much she wanted to live her life in the very best way she could. She let nothing stop her from what she wanted to experience and she shared her experiences with the reader in a wonderful way. I simply loved it!
Inspiring.
This memoir is about a young woman's perseverance in dealing with the challenging issues associated with having Cerebral Palsy and Scoliosis. Despite having the cards stacked against her, she never gives up and accomplishes things that her doctor's tell her parents that she can never achieve. The humorous and cheerful way that she deals with all of this is an inspiration to others facing challenges in their own lives. I enjoyed all the pictures and a story that came from the heart.
Wonderful, Ispiring!
The Sky's the Limit tells the story of a young lady's determination to make herself as independent as possible. Like Susie, I too have Cerebral Palsy, So I can truly relate to her story. Even though CP effects me differently then her, we still have a lot in common. Susie also brings home the point that though a person may have a disability, they are far more then what shows om the outside, so, therefore, they should be treated with the same respect and kindness, as if they didn't have a disability. Yes, the book is somewhat hard to fallow, that aside, It is a book that I highly recommend!!!
Hard to follow
Very hard to follow but would be a good read for parents of CP kids as Susie shows how to successfully function in this world in spite of CP.
The Sky's The limit
I started this book and choose not to finish it. It was hard to get involved in the book. I would not recommend this book.
