I enjoyed reading the book "How to Overcome the Challenges of Life". In this book, you will learn that adversity is a part of life. The key is to learn how to overcome them. Patricia Mitchell speaks on this very aspect. She teaches on how to see the flip side of obstacles and challenges, How to gain strength through Jesus, and recognize that we have grace through Him to overcome. When I first got this book from Kindle, the format was not useful. Thankfully the author knew me and gave me a PDF version which displayed more than the Kindle claimed to show at the time which gave the author a heads up on fixing his Kindle version. The author was even so kind to offer me a paperback but I asked only for the PDF since I am residing in a foreign country at this time.

After I have seen the PDF format, the author gave me, I found many more pages and a lot more information and even found out that Steven Hawk knew about others authors I have read, on this subject, as well as a radio host guy I have personally know before he went to be with the Lord.

If you are looking to find confirmation on those myths being taught in our churches, this book is where to begin.

However, it is obvious to us all that today many local church pastors have trouble saying that Jesus is the gate, the door to the life abundant. It is commonly not preached because the whole approach sounds a bit narrow-minded. But it is much stronger than that. As you will see in this book, many powerful, active church members will find themselves outside with no way to enter heaven.

Salvation Truths Only A Few Ever Find or Accept!

This publication relates important truths ---that will shock and horrify most so-called Evangelical Christians in America today. Very few individuals actually are chosen in each generation for eternal life and salvation! The Gate is truly very ---very ---very ---narrow ---and only a few ever find it! S.R. MATT 7: 13-14. What most people hold dear to their hearts as Biblical Truth ---regarding salvation and eternal life ---is shockingly in error. This book lays-out the real truth ---the 'Truth of The Word' ---and the truth is not pleasant to discover!

Truth for the Church today

I really appreciate the author's honesty and transparency in describing his own experiences as a deeply committed believer in his Savior and Messiah. David makes it clear about what it means to walk the narrow way and reminds the reader of our Savior and Messiah's own words.

I 'read' The Narrow Gate as an audiobook, so this is a two-in-one review of both the content and the presentation.

The content was excellent. The Narrow Gate is examing the trend for the Christian church to be inclusive, to welcome everyone, and pointing out that it takes more than tithing and church attendance to be a Christian. His points are well-thought out and logical, and backed up by relevant Bible quotations. I found myself agreeing with everything he said (but also being worried by some of the churches he's attended over the years).

The Narrow Gate is easy to understand yet thought-provoking, one of those books I'm sure I'll get even more from the second time around.

But no matter how good the content, an audiobook flies or fails based on the narrator.

My Thoughts.....

This was a beautiful testimony from this author but since my Kindle allows it to read to me...I felt that I was in church and listening to as it really ministered to my soul. This was definitely a inspiring and powerful message that I needed to hear and be able to receive the message. The wonderful definitions and biblical scriptures were right there for me to absorb which offered much encouragement to me. I loved how the author delivered the message about being hurt, bitter and knowing we are not alone on this journey, 'to have faith, and know trouble don't last always!' Thank you so much for this! This is great reference read that I plan to keep close. I may have to purchase a

paperback copy!

Thank you to the author for sharing your life of your pain, sorrow and rebirth with your readers. I am sure it will help many who may be involved in a broken marriage, disappointing dreams and even thoughts of suicide by the reader but we are given hope and inspiration from the Bible with solutions that were from the 'Word of God.'
