Stays with you, fast moving

Where does Off the Hook rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

Only my third audiobook. Very good

What was one of the most memorable moments of Off the Hook?

There were several. Most heart racing was when Laura was in the car to the airport. The driver/bodyguard saw they were being followed and then attacked by gunfire.

What does Nancy J. Alexander bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

The ability of bringing the tone of each character to life giving them an individual personality.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes but was not able to. I will listen to it again in perhaps 3 sessions rather than 7-8.

Any additional comments?

I liked following the growth of the main character Laura. Seth brought much insight of human nature to the book. I found myself bookmarking much of what he said to be able to go back and listen again. The characters were very interesting and diverse.

All in all the book sends a most positive message. I will definitely go back and read it again.

A good romance for a quick interesting read

I was seeking a book to keep me entertained for a few hours - something light and interesting. This was a wonderful choice. I read it very quickly but it captivated me and I even laughed at times and wept a few times also. A good summer backyard or beach read. ENJOY!

Sad but wonderful

Sad love stories make me cry and it doesnât get any sadder than this. When a San Francisco socialite meets a star athlete they are head over heels in love, with tragic consequences. Loved this book.

The twist at the end.

Have you listened to any of Million Quinterass other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but I thought he did a wonderful narration. He was very clear and engaging.

Psalms 118:8 - It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

Good beginnings donât always mean happily ever after. Fiona was saved from her abusive father and neglectful mom by her boyfriend Cliff at age 17. Cliff helped Fiona find a voice and the strength she needed to move to the next phase of her life.

Unfortunately the next phase of life was not what Fiona expected, she realized that pain was not just hands on but could also be emotional.

Wilkins theme in this read coupled with Christian principal reminds the reader not to put their trust in man. This principal is not something we donât know but it is one that in this world we forget, so this short story was a great reminder for this reader.

I believe this story just as all the others Iâve read by Wilkins, could be a great tool for my Children church class.

A complimentary copy of this book was provided by the author in exchange for this review.

People aren't always who they seem

Fiona grows up in an abusive home with no one to turn to and nowhere to go until her knight in shining armor comes to take her away. Cliff, her boyfriend, takes her home and his family helps her get on her feet and into counseling. Eventually she and Cliff marry, and she expects to live happily ever after with him. That is until she realizes her knight in shining armor is an untrustworthy man with an agenda of his own. Fiona has a decision to make, and she does so with class. Don't miss this 5 start read by Ms. Wilkins!

Sandraâs writing allows your imagination to grow beyond her writing, as the characters are developed within the story line. Giving this read more depth than normal, as it draws you in. looking forward to the next literary experience she will create. Sandra Henriksen has a firm grasp of what it is to be a author, as shown by her writting skills and talent.

Impressive Debut

An extremely solid effort from Sandra Henriksen, especially considering Reborn From Above is her rookie effort. The characters are well developed, and the dialogue flows easily. I would love to see a prequel to Reborn From Above, to get a better insight to what brought our characters to this point. I look forward to Sandra's next endeavor.

The words of this book are written on my heart, never to be forgotten.

Exceptionally written and moving. The love described in this book can only be started by a fire lit within. I am desperately waiting for Sandra's next book to hit the shelves because you don't merely read a book by Sandra Henriksen, you experience it.

Irene had been married into a family that relied on culture to determine their fate. Unhappily married to Shane, her husband, Irene wanted out so badly. It had been too much for Irene to fake her marriage, so she moved out and went to a city where she found a job at a very large company, hired a maid for her son, and was forced to send money home to her husband, who didn't work. Then Irene meets Morgan, and things change.

Something is wrong with this recording!

What disappointed you about Brenda's Christmas Desire?

About half way through this story a new chapter began that had completely different characters and storyline regarding a gin and a succubus.... I am fairly confident that it is a chapter from another book.... Then after that chapter ended the book resumes back to the original story, but obviously some of the story was skipped! I have never had an audible book or any audio book behave this way. If anyone wants to check this out, it happened between 30-45 minutes into the story.

You didnt love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The story that I was supposed to be listening to was fine, a very christmas-y story... But the random chapter in the middle wrecked it for me.

Any additional comments?

I hope someone at audible can look into this and hopefully fix it.

A very fun romantic romp through a wonderful woman's life with its ups and downs, kind people, and lasting love.

There's Always Hope and Happy Endings

No advantage from her early life, Grace Meredith begins university life and is flattered when she wins the eye of the popular school jock, Scott Dwyer. In the 60's there was no acceptance for a gal in the family way, a condition she never shared with Scott, and when her parents abandoned her, she was forced to make her own way.

The story follows her journey through humor, love, and bittersweet tears - but there is always hope. Years later as a young widow, a successful businesswoman with a flourishing business, and a married daughter with a favor to ask, Grace meets a a mysterious man with his canine companion who lost a showdown with a skunk.

Once again her life, heart and home is filled with love, joy, and a future of happiness. There's acceptance, forgiveness, dreams fulfilled and, as always, hope. This is a wonderfully uplifting story, I recommend it for all.

Winning story about hope, love and survival

So nice to read a book where the heroine is treated kindly, has special loves and successfully survives life traumas. I loved that everything about Meridith and her surroundings were clearly described. From her early college days to becoming a mature woman, the reader is kept involved and is pleasantly surprised with the outcome.
