Music Therapy is proving to help people with dementia feel calmer, boost their mood, and even recover some parts of their memory.    Gaga had always loved the music programs in her assisted living.  Since  moving  to memory care,  the staff still makes it a point to include Gaga in the musical programs.   
We also talk about Relish, a user friendly music player designed to enable people living with dementia to listen to the music that they love.

Last week the Arlington Police Dept (TEXAS ) had arrested a woman and is searching for more unlicensed community living homes following reports of alleged abuse, neglect, theft, and fraud towards clients.   Love and Caring for People LLC was supposed to provide supervised personal care for adults,  but is now under investigation after alleged caregiver abuse.  Terrifying to anyone needing assisted care for a loved one, Joanna and Sue try to figure out how this could happen and how to protect your family when searching for care / assisted living / memory care.  
We also get an update on GaGa,  Joanna's empty nester antics continue,  and we realize our college kids aren't familiar with the beloved ValleySpeak from the 80's.  AS IF!?!?
