Now two years deep into podcasting, Sophie and Mark have accrued EVEN MORE bonus material and bloopers that didn't make it into the original episodes.
Get ready to discover how to be skrunkily, the merits of puppet marriage, the secret link between Sylvester Stallone and Dolly Parton and much much more.
This is it - it's officially been two years since we launched our little passion project: this podcast! To celebrate, we invited a bunch of wonderful, delightful and fantastic people onto the show to discuss a broad range of topics and celebrate unbridled enthusiasm.
We discuss
Project Superpowers
,
Nimona
with the spectacular
Spenser Starke
,
Mortal Engines
and
Generation X
.
Do I hear you clamouring for more?
Did you think we couldn't fit any more into an episode. How dare you. We managed to wrangle the tremendous three:
Thank you so much to all of you that have stuck around for this long and we look forward to spending the next two years with all of you (but then that's it).
Just kidding - you're never getting rid of us
We've been working on developing this episode for over twenty years, ever since our silent movie careers went down the toilet. Mark stars as Salome, the princess in love with a holy man, and dances the dance of the seven veils. Sophie stars as his butler, feeding his delusions, while both spiral into a murderous rage.
There's a chance we might be mixing up this episode summary with that of the movie we're covering: Sunset Boulevard.
This month, we made sure to stop (motion) to rave about the animated films that we like-a the most: Laika Studios.
We talk about portals to fairy kingdoms, goblin meat (again), witch trials, the limits of interpreting fiction and why we love stories about stories.
This month, we were joined by Paul Salt of "One Good Thing" to talk about the movie all about mystical marionettes: Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal.
We talk about One Good Thing, burying people in the shed, the power of classical storytelling, the ups and downs of films with sidekicks and much, much more.
This month, we're trying something new and bringing you an interactive quiz edition about Sophie's favourite topic: Greek Mythology.
We talk about Greek plays, the most bizarre of origins, a rousing discussion of whether we would eat the thing and much, much more.

We begin 2018 with a discussion of the film that brought time-travel into the public consciousness: Back to the Future.
We talk the foundations of the character relationships, the prescience of Biff Tannen, ask the question "How camp is too camp?" and much, much more.
This month we sat down to talk about the most festive festival of them all: Christmas.
We talk our childhood experiences, The Sound of Music, Muppet Christmas Carol, Little Women and much, much more.
