In this episode of Younger Than Yesterday, Ian Clark sits down with Hongchi Xiao, the man who first introduced Ian to Paida Lajin, to self-healing, and to the connections between the physical and metaphysical in the body. Ian discovered Hongchi's work nine years ago in an interview, and it shaped much of what Ian practices and teaches today. This is their first conversation face to face, and this is Hongchi's story in his own words.
Hongchi grew up in China and taught English in a remote village school. He worked as a government interpreter in Tibet, then went to business school in Arizona. His finance career took him from the World Trade Center to Hong Kong. Then, at 40, he walked away from it all to search for ways of healing that had nothing to do with medication.
That search took him across western China, to Kung Fu masters, Taoist monks, a fisherman healer in an isolated mountain village, and an old nun with an unforgettable story. Along the way he came to the idea at the heart of his life's work: the most powerful healing isn't something done to you, it's something you learn to do yourself.
Then the conversation goes deeper. Hongchi and Ian talk about how the body and spirit are connected, about pain as a teacher, and about courage and responsibility. Hongchi explains why he believes healing the body is really a doorway to healing the mind.

What if your body works less like a machine of separate parts and more like an electrical system that needs clear, uninterrupted flow?
In this episode of Younger Than Yesterday, Ian Clark sits down with Dr. Nima Farshid, a doctor of integrative medicine and bioenergetics researcher. Thirteen years ago, doctors gave Nima two weeks to live and recommended a pacemaker for severe heart palpitations. Instead, he set out to find the root cause.
That search took him to Russia, Italy and Croatia, where he found technologies that measure, reconnect and recharge the body's energy, including the Bio-Well. Nima explains why so many people carry energy blockages in the neck and hips, and why unresolved emotions may be one of the biggest factors in long-term health.
Ian and Nima also explore a bigger idea: autonomy. When people have the tools to understand their own bodies, they stop outsourcing their health and start supporting the body's ability to heal itself. Both believe health isn't an expense but an investment, and that quality of life matters more than simply adding years.
In this episode, you'll discover how the Bio-Well measures light emitted from your cells, why your spine acts as the body's energy highway, how modern posture and sitting affect energy flow, the link between unresolved emotions and the nervous system, and why Ian sees health as the most important investment you can make.

What can nearly a century of life teach us about health, longevity and the extraordinary intelligence of the human body?
In this episode of Younger Than Yesterday, Ian Clark sits down with Dr. Fred Bisci, who is approaching 97 years old and has spent decades studying nutrition, fasting, human physiology and healthy aging.
Their conversation goes far beyond the latest longevity trends. Fred shares the principles that have shaped his approach to health over a lifetime, while Ian explores why he believes the future of longevity isn't about trying to "hack" the human body, but learning how to work with it.
Together, they discuss biological efficiency, the importance of consistency, removing habits that work against the body, maintaining curiosity as we age and why extending lifespan means very little if we aren't also protecting our quality of life.
Ian and Fred also explore something deeper: the responsibility that comes with knowledge. If better health allows us to remain present, capable and useful for longer, perhaps longevity isn't simply about living more years. Perhaps it's about having more years to contribute, serve and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
In this episode, you'll discover how Fred thinks about nutrition and fasting after decades of personal experience, why consistency may matter more than intensity, Ian's philosophy of "bio-optimization" rather than biohacking, the relationship between curiosity and healthy aging, and why both Ian and Fred believe health ultimately gives us a greater opportunity to serve.

At nearly 70 years old, Michael Jennings says he feels more energized, capable and connected to his purpose than he has in years.
In this episode of Younger Than Yesterday, Michael joins Ian Clark to share the personal health journey that began when he was advised to have 11 teeth extracted. Rather than immediately accepting that recommendation, he began asking deeper questions about oral health, nasal breathing and the body’s ability to restore balance when given the right support.
Michael discusses his experiences with dental discomfort, decades of restricted nasal breathing, obstructive sleep apnea and the daily practices he believes helped him reconnect with his health. Together, he and Ian explore the importance of learning through personal experience, becoming an active steward of your body and developing the discernment to recognize when something does not feel right.
The conversation also moves beyond physical wellness into purpose, faith, community and the inner peace that can guide important decisions. As Michael beautifully puts it, “It’s okay to be in the storm. Just don’t let the storm be in you.”

What happens to human intelligence when technology begins doing more of our thinking for us?
In this episode of Younger Than Yesterday, Ian sits down with longtime friend, brain coach and bestselling author Jim Kwik for a conversation about protecting and developing the mind in an age of unprecedented technological convenience.
Jim shares how a childhood brain injury and the belief that he was “the boy with the broken brain” ultimately led to more than three decades of studying memory, learning, focus and human performance. Together, Ian and Jim explore the difference between using technology as leverage and surrendering our cognitive abilities to it, why critical thinking and judgment must continue to be exercised, and how AI can augment human intelligence without replacing it.
They also discuss the philosophy behind Jim’s new book, Limitless Daily, and why meaningful transformation is rarely the result of one extraordinary effort. It is the accumulation of small, deliberate practices repeated consistently over time.
From protecting the first moments of the morning to developing cognitive flexibility and learning to “build before you borrow,” this conversation is an invitation to become more intentional about what you give your attention to, how you exercise your mind, and who you are becoming through the habits you practice every day.

In this episode, Ian Clark sits down with Aaron Alexander, author of The Align Method, to explore why some of the most powerful approaches to longevity are also the simplest.
Together, they unpack how chronic stress, stagnation, and modern living can disconnect us from the foundations of health, and why movement, breath, sunlight, time outside, sleep, and nervous system regulation matter more than another complicated “biohack.” Aaron also shares how learning to remove physical and emotional static can create more space for the body to rest, regulate, and recover.
At its core, this conversation is about returning to the fundamentals and learning how to live more fully aligned with your body.

Ian shares the personal origin story behind his approach to reverse aging: the health crisis at 46 that nearly killed him, why he rejected his doctor brother's advice to follow the same treatment path that failed his two uncles in 1978, and the prayer and commitment that set him on a two-decade journey toward what he calls "complete" health.

Ian sits down with Sarah Morgan — a nutrition biochemist who trained for medicine before pivoting into functional nutrition, genetics, and peptide education — to cut through the confusion around peptides, bioregulators, and GLP-1s. They cover what these molecules actually are, why the body already makes them, the real story behind GLP-1 weight regain and "cellular memory," why weight loss is the wrong metric to obsess over, and why none of this replaces sleep, nutrition, movement, and human connection.
Peptides and bioregulators aren't foreign substances — the body produces thousands of them daily, and most of what's being introduced through supplementation is supporting a signaling process the body is already designed to run. GLP-1 molecules aren't inherently good or bad; the outcome depends on dose, purpose, and what else is (or isn't) being addressed alongside them. Weight regain after stopping GLP-1s isn't a willpower failure — it's tied to an epigenetic "cellular memory" that can take years to fully reset. And no peptide protocol replaces the fundamentals: quality sleep, real food, movement, and genuine human connection.

Ian sits down with Kim Morrison, founder of Twenty8 Essentials and one of Australia's most trusted voices in aromatherapy, women's health, and mindset coaching. Kim shares the story of the childhood adversity that shaped her, the ultramarathon legend who changed the course of her life with a single question, and nearly four decades of lived experience studying essential oils, functional movement, and what it really means to age with grace. This is a conversation about resilience, self-love, and rediscovering the innate intelligence of the body.

Ian Clark sits down with Dr. Christiane Northrup, pioneering OB/GYN, women's health advocate, and bestselling author, for a conversation exploring the roots of true wellness, longevity, and what modern culture has misunderstood about women's health.
Dr. Northrup shares her journey from a nutritionally minded upbringing to founding Women to Women in 1985, one of the first women-centered medical practices in the United States. Together, Ian and Christiane discuss why so many chronic health challenges may reflect cultural imbalance rather than personal failure, and how reclaiming responsibility for our health begins with changing the way we think about the body.
The conversation also explores Dr. Mario Martinez's research on healthy centenarians, aging with vitality, the role of nutrition, protecting your energy, and surrounding yourself with people who support your well-being.
