Stress can have a impact on your health. The 5 year journey of the eating disorder with my daughter and life and running a business led me to feeling not well. My menopause symptoms were increasing, anxiety increasing and sleep was not good.
As I tried to handle it as I knew to handle health with natural supplements, it was not working. As I learned about how the adrenals are impacted, many other systems are thrown off.
A little about adrenal fatigue....that some many not think is a real thing. I just know that I was off and my health was impacted in a negative way with all this stress.
AND I was able to find some simple steps to reclaim my health.
The term "adrenal fatigue" was coined in 1998 by James Wilson, PhD, a naturopath It is a group of related signs and symptoms (a syndrome) that results when the adrenal glands don't function adequatlehy. He says it’s usually associated with intense stress and often follows chronic infections like brochinitis and pneumonia.
You can learn more about Adrenal Fatigue here on Web MD.
You can find these supplements that I mentioned on the episode on my website of Shaklee web site

Do you ever feel like sometimes your days are turned upside down due to the crisis or chaos in the life of your children?
All of a sudden with one phone call you have to pivot.
One more time time it happened recently! Has it happened to you?
I reflect on when this has happened before, how the frustration sets in AND you put yourself on the back burner one more time!.
We realize it!
We sit in that space!
We juggling the chaos one more time!!
And then can we look for the silver lining?
Can we find the good in the mess?
I reflect on another time that this happened as my daugher needed a higher level of care and I needed to help out. And how I was able to find some help as I reachd out to a friend.
Tune in and listen to how we can can show up...and find the good in the mess.

Another favorite episode as I speak with Mackensie, my friend who shares her story of recovery and life. She had many years of disordered eating but it wasn't until college when a true health scare occured that it woke Mackensie up to the need for help.
She shared many untraditional ways of recovering and living the live she was seeking. She also shares the boundaries that were set down by her father and how they most likely saved her life.
Mackensie is talented yoga teacher and beautiful soul sister of mine. She works full time as a wrtier, yoga teacher, advanced educator and an international rereat leader. You can find her at Kensho Retreats where she is a co-owner ! Reach out if you've ever wanted to travel to an retreat and find time for you.

Have you heard of Start Stop and Continue?
As we come into the new year and decade, this is a great exercise that anyone can do. My daughter shared this as something she did while in a treatment program and I thought it was a great idea.
You can do this at anytime honestly.
What will you Start doing?
What will you Stop doing?
What will you Continue doing?
