As this season in history seems to put a lot on our plates, learn in this dialogue with Jackie Borlawsky about coaching. Coaching is one way of leadership through powerful questions and repeating back what the coach hears the client say. The clients lead themselves by sharing their thoughts with another person and coming to their own solutions as they are hearing their own thoughts repeated back to them.

The holiday can be a busy season with many feelings and sentiments. There's always the thing how the holidays were before and maybe even expectations from even as early as growing up like how the holiday should be. And if there was pain, then we may even long more for this holiday to make up for our pain.
And then there is a moving target on top of that, which is that life happens. With the pandemic, there was a time where all the holidays, were just via zoom, and we all stayed within our houses. And now that everything has been opening up more this year, we may need to get used to that, too.
Brainstorm with my guest sherpa Sarah Hohmann on how to set sail not just for a peaceful holiday but for new things to come!

There's usually so much going on however, that really deliberately stopping and slowing it down seems like really essential. And then sometimes I find myself in this place of there's a lot to handle.
And yet, the things that really kind of matter, most, I have to really push hard to have that at the at the top of my list, not at the bottom. So that's how the last couple of weeks have been.
I get to stay on it just on the things that, that that represents my values. And then, on all the other stuff that comes our way, right, but what even what's going on in the world to really focus on the value driven pursuits first, and then on the rest. So that's been my last couple of weeks. It's been.
It's been an interesting couple of weeks. But talking a little bit more about which I think is so good. That sends up self examination, self love, maybe believes and then looking at our thought life, as all of that has so much to do with our mental wellness, and that sense of sanity.

I want to pick this ingredient to our mental wellness, that is vitamin B3 (aka niacin), which is one of eight B vitamins. Why this is an amazing ingredient for our mental wellness.? And why mental wellness at this time? We truly need it with everything that wants to pull us, distract us and reroute us from our place in life where we get to be at our best. And we did use our voice and exercise our sanity.

Let's talk about how to attend to chronic pain, memory loss, and depression.
What does magnesium have to do with that, you ask?
My answer: lots! Feel inspire to add, e.g., almonds, cashews, peanuts, for extra magnesium.
Let's dive in!
Also, here is a resource for you that lists how your magnesium intake should be coordinated with other vitamins and minerals. Enjoy!
P.S.:
Let's not forget that magnesium needs to be in balance with calcium. They have opposite functions — for example calcium contracts muscles, magnesium relaxes muscles. The ideal ratio of calcium to magnesium is thought to be 1:1 to 2:1 so if you’re getting say 800 mg calcium, you’d need 400 – 800 mg magnesium. That’s a whole lot more than the 200 mg that most people get. Most people’s ratio is 5:1 or higher and that’s a major problem over the long term.

Research shows that it is very beneficial to slow down, disengage from our constant connection with technology, and strengthen our creativity and goal achievement by taking a break from our devices.
Sarah Hohmann and I discuss our challenges with harnessing our use of technology.
For example, our first thing in the morning can be to start with 20 to 30 minutes of quiet time. Learn more how this practice allows you to refresh your mental wellness. As a result, you will (re-)discover your voice and sanity.
