In the Bible in the book of Matthew it states that we are take up our cross and follow Jesus. Matt 16:24 Tonight we are asking those who are willing to open up what it means to take up your cross. There is no right or wrong answer but I hope that it allows all of us a chance to take a look at this scripture and how it applies to us in this day and time. So many people quote scripture to people without taking the time to look at what it means. The second part of the show is for the people to call in and share in one word what this year means to you. You can then expand on that word. For example it may be prosperous, scared, grief, joy, fun, etc.... Once again there is no right or wrong answer. It is hard to believe that another year is almost gone. In looking at the holiday season it is a time for many to look back at their life. We look at goals that we reached and have not. We look at family/friends that is no longer with us. As you get older you do not just look back and take stock for this last year. But you also start to look at the patterns of your life. I am so blessed to have the family that I have. I also feel blessed with the Blog Talk Family here on Your-Place. I cannot tell you what it means to have people share with us how we have touched their lives. I enjoy the people that disagree with the host and share their thoughts just as much as I do the people who agree with me. That is what makes Your Place so special. But I also have to apologize to all of you. In looking at the topics and comments that were made I have lost the ability to share information from people that have blessed my life and I know would be an inspiration to you as well. Unfortunatly it seems that these people do not feel that they can be a part of a show that states information about the church and politics as I do. As I have always tried to say.I do not have to be right. The total aspect of this show is for people to be able to voice their opinion without feeling like they are part of an inquisition. The fact that two people who I have a lot of respect for has felt that my voice on this topic takes away from who they are to be a part of this show. That is only two that I know of. In my own life I find that this usually shows habits that I need to change when I cannot share good due to what I feel about being called out on something that I say or do. I cannot speak for these people. It is hard enough to look at ourselves but to have someone point out a possible fault is always hard. So we want to place the host under the microscope and get your opinion on what I can do to make this show better. I am also bringing you another family radio show this week.

Last week the show was hosted by Joy and Blog Talk Mom. The topic was on counting your blessings. As part of continuing with this topic we should all take a look at our family, friends, church, and work relationships during this holiday season. During this show take the time to share how thankful you are for the people in your life. You can name these people and tell us what you are thankful for that these people played a part of your life.

This holiday I am afraid that you are going to be blessed with Joy running the board and blog talk mom running the show. I have to be out of pocket for a church function and they gladly offered to be your host for this show. Thanksgiving for me is a time to look back and count my blessings. I think that is the direction that Joy will lead the show. I do want to mention our military that is deployed away from family during this holiday season. Our thanks,thoughts, and prayers are with you.

I know that from experience I have been told that I am trying to put on my Mr. Fix it hat. I think it men speak a language that women do not understand. Relationships are good fun most of the time. But communication problems are not fun. So where do we go to get understanding?

Last week that statement was made and I was surprised at how many people came back and said how wrong we were. They said the example of the show we played for you did not show any real credibility to the mind of that time compared to today. A lot of response has to do with all of the new science that makes man something special that could not be duplicated in our past. For sure the way that things may be completed could be different but the mind of man has not changed since sin came into this world. My first response to prove this is to take you to the bible. There you can find murder, wars, people being completly wiped out. placing blame, politics, wrongful prosecution, and incest to name a few. But for those that think we take the bible and make it say what we want it to say...I have found you an old radio show from what we call the roaring 40's. It goest to show man has not changed that much in the mindset of who we are.

Last year we talked about the history of this holiday. Tonight we are going to talk about the community of Halloween and bring you a classic surprise that I want to share with you. We look forward to having you all join us on this topic!

I have found that most everybody that lives for God wants to be involved in the ministry of God. A lot of people seek positions like being on the platform or positions that put them in front of people. What these people do not realize is that this type of position also puts a big target on you by Satan. This is not just to attack you as a person but if other people look up to you and they see you fail or fall then his attack can affect the faith of other people who look up to you. This is why most pastors have guidelines regarding who they allow to be in this type of position in their church. What a lot of people will do is attach themselves to another person's ministry. This gives them a chance to learn, be nurtured, and mature in their relationship with God. They can take advantage of the flow of the spirit that is working though the person that is in charge of that ministry. You will be targeted by Satan in this position also. So it is important that you continue to grow and mature in your relationship with God. If not you can still influence other people in a negative way and even be a problem to the person in charge of the ministry that is trying to help you grow. A lot of people like to call their wanting to control other people a ministry. I am not talking about the pastor but people that try to clean up others that come into a church and call it their God given authority to do. We will look at ministry as God has established it to be according to his word. You will enjoy what Bro Henson has for us tonight and hopefully we can all learn more about what God wants from each of us.

There are still three things that people are still asking about. 1st, the beast in Revelation as the bride of Christ, 2nd, The symbolism in Revelation as was stated on the show. For example many people think the Eagle is the USA. 3rd, is on who makes up the bride of Christ and how the 7 dispensations of man shows how this all plays out in the Bible.

Last week the topic was on the rapture of the church. A lot of scripture was put out to everybody providing examples to the speakers (Joe White) thought on the subject. Some of the things he said brought up even more questions and comments. So we are taking the time to try to allow you to post your thoughts and questions tonight.
