Steve Collis is the Chairman, President, and CEO of AmerisourceBergen Corporation, a founding vice chairman of the American Cancer Society’s CEOs Against Cancer Pennsylvania chapter and serves on the Board of Governors for the American Red Cross.

Michael Sapienza is the Chief Executive Officer of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance. Previously, he served as President and Founder of The Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation from 2010-2015. He was also an integral member of the team that led the effort to merge the Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation and the Colon Cancer Alliance, creating the nation’s largest colon cancer-specific nonprofit. In 2017, the Colon Cancer Alliance changed its name to Colorectal Cancer Alliance, embracing the entire colorectal cancer community.

Joe Frick is the Vice Chairman and Managing Partner of Diversified Search, the former CEO/President of Independence Blue Cross, and a Colorectal Cancer Survivor.

On March 14, 2021, our host Dr. Marianne Ritchie was joined by Dr. Mary Stevens, Katie Keating, and Helen Milligan for a discussion on Down Syndrome.

Dr. Stephens is an Associate Professor of Family Medicine and Director of the Jefferson Continuing Care Program. Mary recognizes all the areas of support needed for patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities, especially as they mature and transition from the Pediatric system. She knows first hand as she is the mother of Callie, her beautiful 9-year-old daughter with Down Syndrome.

Katie Keating is a nurse, the mother of 10, and her youngest child Luke, has Down Syndrome. She is a leader in her faith community and a tireless advocate for those who experience homelessness and members of the Down Syndrome community

Helen Milligan is a Physical Therapist at CHOP and for 18 years has led the charge to include Physical Therapy as a basic component of care for patients with Down Syndrome, including her 18-year-old son Aiden.

On March 7, 2021, our host Dr. Marianne Ritchie was joined by Dr. Mark Pochapin and Greg Colelli.

Dr. Pochapin, a Sholtz-Leeds Professor of Gastroenterology, the Director of the Division of GI and Hepatology at NYU School of Medicine / NYU Langone Health, and the Former President of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), is a national expert in the area of Colorectal Cancer prevention, screening, and early detection and will provide an update on the latest advances in screening tests and preventive therapies.

Greg Colelli was diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer at the young age of 38 and another suspicious growth at age 58. When the doctor learned that his father and two uncles had colorectal cancer and his aunt had uterine cancer, genetic testing was done and revealed the Lynch Syndrome.

On February 28, 2021, our host Dr. Marianne Ritchie was joined by Dr. Lisa A. Freed, an Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale School of Medicine and Director of Yale-New Haven Hospital’s Women’s Heart and Vascular Program, for a discussion about the prevention, risk factors, common and uncommon symptoms and the value of CPR.

At age 35, Stephanie’s heart stopped while she slept. A fortuitous phone call awakened her husband who noticed her irregular breathing. His quick reflex to perform CPR gave her a second chance at life, and now she is a passionate advocate, volunteer, and fundraiser for the American Heart Association – sharing the message that everyone should learn CPR.

On February 21, 2021, our host Dr. Marianne Ritchie was joined by Dr. James Baker and Dr. John Zurlo who provided an update on symptoms, testing, guidelines for returning to work after exposure, and answers to frequently asked questions about the vaccine.

Dr. Baker is the founding Director of the Mary H. Weiser Food Allergy Center and the Ruth Dow Doan Professor at Michigan Medicine. For 20 years, Dr. Baker was the chief of the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the U-M. He is also a professor of biomedical engineering in the College of Engineering and the Director of the Michigan Nanotechnology Institute for Medicine and Biological Sciences. For the past 5 years, he was also the CEO and CMO of Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE) the national food allergy foundation.

Dr. Zurlo is a Distinguished Professor of Medicine and the Director of the Infectious Disease Division at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

On February 14, 2021, our host Dr. Marianne Ritchie was joined by Thomas P. Sollecito, DMD, FDS RCSEd for a discussion on common dental problems and the ways in which lesions in the mouth/oral cavity can provide clues to other medical problems elsewhere in your system.

Dr. Sollecito is a Professor and Chair of Oral Medicine and the Associate Dean of Hospital and Extramural Affairs at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.

For more than 11 years, Bob and Barb have been rescuing dogs and helping them find “Fur-ever” homes, bringing love to both the dog and his/her new owner.​

On February 7, 2021, our host Dr. Marianne Ritchie was joined by Christopher C. Dodson, MD for a discussion on the most common sports injuries in amateur athletes and non-professional competitive athletes.

Dr. Dodson is a board-certified Sports Medicine surgeon at Rothman Orthopaedics and an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University. He serves as Head Team Physician for the Philadelphia 76ers and is Head Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Two men who grew up in North Philadelphia met with success because they had positive role models. Now they return to the same neighborhood and are walking in the footsteps of their mentors. With sports as the entry point, they’re providing structure and love to kids who are brimming with potential but often lack access to opportunity.​

On January 31, 2021, our host Dr. Marianne Ritchie was joined Dr. Peter Bidey, an Assistant Professor and Vice-Chair of the Department of Family Medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, for a discussion on the history and philosophy of Osteopathic Medicine, and the additional benefits an Osteopathic Physician can provide through Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.

We were also be joined by Nicholas Frontino, the Managing Director of the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia, to discuss the Well City Challenge, an initiative powered by the Economy League of Greater Phila and presented by Independence Blue Cross.

On January 24, 2021, our host Dr. Marianne Ritchie was joined by Dr. Jack Ende for a discussion about how Internal Medicine differs from Family Medicine.

Dr. Jack Ende is an internationally recognized scholar, Master Clinician, author, and teacher. He is a Schaeffer Professor of Medicine of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and the Associate Dean for Advanced Medical Practice. He was previously the Chief of Internal Medicine at Penn Presbyterian as well as the President of the American College of Physicians.
